Just a guess, but most of the local shows are every single week, and the post does say "starting," so it's probably ongoing.

Now it seems there are several shows. Would love to hear a summary on the other shows, I hear there are also exotics near JWA airport. I've only been to Ford PAG, and only once, but I plan to attend Dec 2nd and support our marque.

Yes you are correct... it is ongoing...

I just wanted to show people it has started up again...

:thumbsup

Ok GT people, we can all check out Balboa after 12/2, but let's show the So. Cal. auto lovers an overdose of GT's at Irvine Ford Design Center Sat. 6:30 am 12/2/06...Post to confirm. Thanks George

I will be there.

Yes George I agree...Let's all get to Ford on the 2nd!

Mighty Noid, Are you sure you mean meeting on Balboa Island? I think you mean meeting on the Balboa Peninsula (big difference)!

I think it would be okay during the winter, but not the summer (too crowded). Have you been to it yet? What kind of cars and how many show up?

I went this past saturday but I couldn't stay very long. I had a golf thing to do in Huntington Beach at 8am.

When I got there, I saw about 7 Vipers and a few Vette's. Then there were some 300C's as well.

It was down by Newport Beach by Fashion Island...so I guess you might call it Balboa Peninsula.

I'm there.

I think you are really talking about the Balboa Peninsula by the Pier. (That is not near Fasion Island).

I'll check it out one of these Saturdays...Thanks for the info!

I'll drive up from San Diego. Where is the design center located in Irvine? A map or address would help.

thanks,

Craig

The Ford Design Center is located at 7905 Gateway Blvd in Irvine just north of the Irvine Spectrum. Gateway Drive is just off Irvine Center Drive (from the 405) and Alton Pky (from the 5).

This weekly Sat. am meet is called Cars & Coffee (C&C) and is held as the "continuation" the of the famous Crystal Cove meet. (Note: NOT the small gathering at the Balboa beach)

Most every weekend they feature a certain marque or type of vehicle in a separate parking area. This Sat (Dec 2) the Ford GT and GT40 are being featured.

We urge everyone with a GT to be there. Let's make this the largest gathering of GTs since the Detroit rally.

Thanks for the directions. I will be there, although I never knew that 6:30 actually came twice a day. At least the freeways will be empty for the trip up. I'd better go find my "Valentine". :wink

Forget about congested Balboa with anxious NB cops, the place to be is Cars & Coffee, especially this Saturday. I have broadcast this special GT showing to alot.

Get there early, It's going to be butt-ass cold, so I may bring some marshmallows and smores, pop the clam, and get toasty around the exhaust manifolds :thumbsup

Looking forward to this Saturday...coming down from the Westide with a buddy and his Tungston GT. Eric, Bruce, Charles, any of you going? We are two, but more is better! If so, let's carpool. :banana

Where....

are you west siders meeting up?

Bruce, I think the Ralph's parking lot at Olympic and Cloverfield works great.
George wants us there at 6:30am....we should shove off no later than 5:45am. :banana

any chance of Dan Gurney showing up again?
