Carbon Ford GT air inlet

What happened then...?

I want/NEED one as my 4.0L will be installed next weekend.

They should still be available. Mine took several months to come in as whipple did not have them in stock.

Ok, did it come in a complete kit with hose and fasteners?

Thanks

Hey guys, been awile, but were now offering a new carbon fiber inlet to replace the factory, collapasable air duct.

We got some new stuff coming as well so stay tuned.

You reuse the stock hoses, but it does come with the couplers and hose clamps. No other parts required as it is otherwise a direct replacement.

Here are pictures of the inlet installed.

It's now 5 weeks since I asked them to order one, still nothing.
But it looks really nice and thanks for posting :)

MTV8 - i see that you have two round holes cut into to bottom of your airbox in the front. it appears that the holes are reinforced somehow? what did you do to reinforce the holes?

The trim rings are more cosmetic than for reinforcement as the hole saw left the edges rough and unfinished looking. They are actually cable grommets that you may see on a desk or table allowing wires to pass through. They extend into the airbox, and while I have no data to back it up, I would think they help keep the the cool air coming in through the clamshell from rushing out the holes.
