California Napa Trip

I will be going to Napa for a week with wife and some friends from the 5th through the 12th for some wine and fun. I tried to get my GTX-1 there for the week so I could enjoy some roads that were not flat and straight, like the ones in Florida, but my roof is not done yet and I did not want to risk being caught in bad weather.

Does anyone know of a exotic car rental company that my have a car that would be fun to drive? I have tired a company out of San Francisco but $12k seemed a little steep for a week. Any help would be great.

The best accurate weather is about one week out. Take a chance. I'd love to see a GTX-1 in the neighborhood. My GT has been at Genaddi for 3 weeks. I'm hoping this top cituation will be resolved soon!!!!!

I would love to have it there as well, but I really do not know if I can risk it.

I believe the new top will be a much better solution. Because I have the navigation stereo, I would not be able to fit any roof section in the front compartment anyway. There is a large amplifier there now. I really like the idea of having a 3 piece hard top which I will keep in the garage and then a soft top that can be taken with me.

You will find a whole new appreciation for your GT once it is a GTX-1. It is like falling in love again after your wife (I mean car) did an extreme makeover.:biggrin

My dog house is my garage. Room for 7 cars, air conditioning, a pool table, a bar with a fridge that keeps my beer just above freezing, 50" plasma, full bath, pull out couch, Bimini Ring toss game, and if I have to move in a brass pole for guests of the opposite sex.arty

No a clue, in SoCal no problem, you could drive up, but nothing I know of in the Bay Area.

Thanks. I called them about a month ago but at that point I was thinking of trailering my car. I will call them again.

I don't know my schedule but I think I will be there at some point in my trip. I will check with my wife. It would be great to meet up with another FGTF fan.:cheers

Dare I say, go buy a used Lotus in the bay area for cash and then sell it with someone when you leave... Maybe you take a hit.. maybe you make a profit or slide even steven....
