That is interesting, that you mention it. Seeing them independently most of the time, I would not have guessed that they would complement each other so well.

RainX to the rescue!

2 things that smacked me in the face today:

1. Our cars are dinosaurs
2. After getting out of my car and sticking my head in the NGT while talking to the engineer, that cabin is NOT for the, ummmm, dimensionally challenged.

:thumbsup

Great pic with some cool resemblances

Ya know its funny you say this... I was just talking with someone today about the fact that the '06 GT was technologically ahead of its time in '05 and '06. Their introduction of new materials and production methods were definitely pushed into the next consumer vehicles. Just look at simple things like the gas filler and how its carried over to production vehicles today.

Carbon Fiber on a large scale is still difficult, but becoming more feasible, like in the Alfa 4C. Its evident already, how the push for lighter cars will drive the next dimension for modifications. Its also neat, that the Carbon fiber wheels on the Ford GT350R may have influenced a last minute change to add them to the NFGT... (I could be off on this, but it appears this way).

Its obvious that Ford wanted the most technologically advanced car it could create like in '05 and '06... now 10 years later they are intentionally doing the same, but it ironically makes the '05 and '06 GT look like a dinosaur, when in fact, the '05 and '06 are still able to compete easily with modern super cars and without apologies.

This means that the '17 model will be pertinent for 10+ years and influence the next generation of production methods. :thumbsup
