On the way home this evening I was hailed by a driver in an Excusion. He asked me to stop at the local Ford dealer to see an 06 all black GT. In the body shop.

#1 son and I stopped and saw a very badly wrecked vehicle. Front back both sides. Bent wheels and suspension.

It seems that the owner of the dealership was driving this car. A man in a Nissan p/u willfully, and without any known reason, turned into the r rear of the GT causing it to spin out at 70 mph. Car went across 5 lanes of traffic, hit the concrete barrier, caroomed back across the same 5 lanes and hit the rear of the car on the concrete barrier. A real mess, Fortunately the driver was not injured.

This was witnessed by an State Patrolman in an unmarked car. He went after the p/u, which eventually stopped and the driver went on the run for quite a ways. Officer caught him and arrested him.

His comments about the accident were based on his dislike of the nationality of the driver. Sad commentary on racism. The driver was of Hindu heritage. Sometime today the p/u truck drivers' mother called the dealership. She berated them for selling such a nice car to "someone like that". The GT driver btw has a number of dealerships - Ford,Lexus, Nissan and an exotic specailty store. From what I've been told he is really nice guy and very giving to the community.

The driver of the truck lives at home with his mother. He's something like forty eight years old. Mother is mid-sixties. Must have been a hell of bad home to be brought up in.

Please be careful out there. There's more like him out there.

Niiiiiice :bored

any parts worth purchasing off the car?

I see this a lot.

SUCKS! I would have knocked out his one tooth! :biggrin

"The driver of the truck lives at home with his mother. He's something like forty eight years old."

That sort of tells you everything you need to know really.

Terrible story - hopefully the full weight of the law will be brought to bear on him.

disapointment haven't we moved past this

Racism should be dead in this country by this time. Was the driver of the black gt and his son ok? http://www.fordgtforum.com/forums/n...fordgtforum.com/forums/images/icons/icon9.gif

Thankfully no one was hurt, especially the Mom in the minivan loaded with kids on their way home from school and minding their own business. Rocman is right, knock out his one tooth and hit him so hard his smelly clothes will be out of style when he wakes up...

And then cut off his dirty, stringy mullet :ack

need confirmation first

This is terrible...but unfortunately, not surprising to me. This man should be taken off the streets for a long time.

I only hope the GT driver is not soured so much that he is unwilling to drive another GT. However, if he doesn't, I'd understand.

Unbelievable.

sounds like a good candidate for a "caning"

That guy sounds like he needs to be caned. If they don't allow that in Washington we could fly someone in for them.

No suprise there.

Living well is the best revenge.

wrecked car

Public caning isn't allowed here. Let me know what flight the boys are on, and I'll meet them at the airport.
If that's not possible maybe send a couple of true "Native Americans". They could do a scalp removal. Maybe a few fingernails too. Aftr they get done here, George B. could use them down at Gitmo.

Unfortunately Stupid People do Stupid things.

Brilliant :thumbsdow

The incident above reminds me of an situation that happened to me last Sat. I'm out running errands in the GT. I'm running in a pack of cars, which I hate to do since everyone is gawking and bumper drafting. I change lanes to go around a slower moving car, and the guy proceeds to swap lanes and block me. I switch lanes again to the right and he swings right. This happens 4 times. Mind you, I was not speeding, just trying to get around him. You'd think he was Nigel Mansell, blocking my line in an F1 race. Pissed me off royally, but I didn't try to pass him as I suspect he was willing to run his "hooptie-beater" car into mine if I came past him. I turned off at the next light and went on my way. Had the red-ass bad. We had an incident of road rage here a few weeks ago where a driver was shot and killed close to where my problem occured, so that was in the back of my mind. Never know who's packin' heat. Be careful out there. I can tolerate the phone camera's and shout outs. It's the haters you gotta watch for.

That's one of the few benefits in the UK - by and large road rage does not involve guns. So I can understand why one might hesitate to give someone the middle finger when the trigger finger might be used as a response....

I had not picked up on Yogi's well made point, the idiot is driving a Nissan and the victim driving one of America's finest.

Maybe the truck driver leaned out the window and asked "Hey, that thing got a hemi?", and got pissed when the GT driver didn't respond.

I always pack heat... I dial 911
