In 08-09, I looked at an X5M. There was an X6M right next to it in the showroom. I liked the X5M, but didn't get the 6 then and don't now. FWIW, I bought an E63 wagon (which, BTW, sucked fuel to such an extent to make the GT look like an economy car).
Not an x6, but we have had 3 x5's, our current is an 08 bought new, now with 7x,xxx miles. Been good to us. No interest in the M version, have an M3, that is a better execution of an M car to me.... We need the space, and couldn't have the bucket style rear seats (kids), so the X6 vs the X5 wont be on the radar.
