We are closing in on 40 participants at our 4th annual Barrett-Jackson Ford GT dinner. Join us on Thursday evening, Jan. 21 where heavy hitting bidder Tim Cantwell will reveal his winning auction strategy! :biggrin Stoke up on America's finest baby back ribs Thursday so you'll have plenty of energy for your celebratory dance on stage Friday or Saturday night after you nail down that vintage Bugatti. Mark McGowan will be joining us.

Gentlemen,

I just received a note from Mark McGowan informing me that he will be joining us at our Barrett-Jackson dinner and that he will be bringing a surprise from the Ford Motor Company with him. For those who do not know him, Mark McGowan was on the original Ford GT build team and was one of the drivers who first took the Ford GT over 200 miles an hour in Nardo, Italy. Join us on Thursday, January 21 for an outstanding evening of great food, strong cocktails, good friends, and memorable conversation.

Good news about Mark! And will Mr. Buddy Stubbs be joining us? Hoping he is still with GT.
 
Is anyone staying at the Fairmont? According to the website, that is close by....correct?

The Fairmont is a great hotel and very close to B-J. I don't know who is staying there.

I have been looking at this thread and thinking, I'd love to come. If I can use frequent flyer miles, change my work schedule(etc). I'd love to come. I was wondering how far from Phoenix is BJ, hotels, and dinner location?
 
Can you count me in for dinner as well for 2.

B-J is a 30 minute cab ride from the Phoenix airport. Scottsdale borders the east edge of Phoenix and has hundreds of hotels. I like the Marriot Old Town Inn Suites in old town Scottsdale but it's about 6 miles south of B-J.

I can make it to the dinner Thursday night. So please add my name, only 1 and no car to the list. I am making this a quick trip. Thursday afternoon in town, BJ on Friday then back home.

I'm headed south tomorrow, 79 degrees in Palm Springs today. Pretty nice golf weather. GT will stay in the garage in Seattle.

Jeff, I don't think I've ever put on a Scottsdale event that you did not attend. I'm not sure I know how to do it. :biggrin
