Anyone "ticketed" yet ...

was pulled over last weekend. i was not speeding or breaking any laws (that i knew of)
reason pulled over was because my rear-view camera was blocking the letters "new jersey" on my rear license plate.
after explaining to him that i can't see squat out the back, and that the camera has probably kept me out of a few accidents, he told me to mount my front plate, don't drive through his town again and "enjoy that m-fker"(with a huge smile on his face)

Dammit... who started this thread:wink ?

Been driving two years without getting bothered about my lack of a front plate... until this morning. On my way to take my Mom for her Doctors appointment at 7:30 AM... Pass a DPS car sitting on the side of the Interstate... and sure enough, here he comes with red and blue lights a flashin' everywhere.

Anyway, I got off with only a warning ticket and was back on my way pretty quickly. :thumbsup

Oh btw, not in my GT this morning, drving my Lexus instead.

(1) I DID!!!!!!!:skep

(2) THAT was obvious the instant you stated whom you were transporting! :rofl

So, what's the deal now, Dave? Do you have to report somewhere & show 'em that you've INSTALLED the front plate, or what?

Well EP... I'm puttin' the blame on your shoulders for jinxin' the whole no plate deal by starting this thread...:wink

Not really sure what the next step is... I guess I'll have to put the front plate on my car now, or face the possibilty of getting a real ticket.

I say we hold EP down and make him watch us drill and mount a plate to the front of his GT as a lesson.

Usually, here in Washington, if the warning tkt is so worded, one would be given "X" # of days to correct the cited infraction and submit same to whomever for a "look see", blah, blah, blah...
