is this worth it or nonsense size/$ price?

Seem very expensive, any other vendors?

Here is the way that I have installed a fire extinguisher. Don Warren at Safecraft, and I devised a way to mount a Halon extinguisher in the GT without drilling any holes, and without interfering with the passenger seat. We used a Safecraft bracket and used the existing two screws that hold the center console together. The extinguisher is accessible to me in the drivers seat, and does not interfere with the passengers leg room.

Hope this helps.

Nicely done. I think I'll do the same. By the way, is your extinguisher gauge reading zero pressure?

I have a Safecraft - Shadowman system, a work of art, plus the fire bottle. I'm waiting for the special Shadowman bracket to move the bottle from the floor to the side of the console. Don is a gem to work with. Simply the very best. I can't say enough about Don and Safecraft. The place we need to support.

Much as I hate to, I have to agree with Bony on this. Don at Safecraft is the only place a GT owner needs to shop for extinguishers and mounts. He custom designed the engine fire suppression system for our cars and then made us a special group buy to boot. Everything I've seen come from there is first class combined with excellent service.

Bony, is Shadowmans mount different than the one pictured above?

This was probably a mockup bottle that I used to get the extinguisher mounted exactly in the right place. I just went out and checked, and the gauge reads full. I also see I should have cleaned my floor mats before taking the pictures. Live and learn.

Gary, looks like you need a Stormcat carbon fiber floor panel. Does Don have these brackets for sale yet? Lazycat hasn't come up with the bottleholder that fits in this area, so I need something to put there.

Yes, I believe Don has these brackets drilled and ready to go. I haven't been bit by the carbon fibre bug yet, but who knows. I'm still trying to figure out how to get my helmut and my head inside the GT. Being 6-3, 260, there is not much room. I think I have a solution that I will share next week.

Looks good Gary!

Safecraft

Don't forget Safecraft's new shoulder belt harness bars for the GT. The went with a round design to meet the strength requirements that most racing organizations specify.

VERY NICE - I gotta have this too to go with their engine fire suppression system.

I agree with all comments - Don & Safecraft are top notch. :thumbsup
