For you to want to change out that livery, the new scheme must be unreal.
Those megaphones are downright awesome.

nice. subscribed.

Looks like you are at MMP?

What are you doing to it Mike? And is that a real Lotus beside the shop or a fab'd one? Sub'd to see results.

Ron, it is at Luftkraft in Colorado Springs right up against the base of Pikes Peak.

Pro, mainly cosmetic. I am doing a complete strip and repaint with a livery we are coming up with ourselves. It will have components of the P1038 Essex Wire car as well as some of my own. Not as flashy but more period correct. Minor mechanicals this year since I finished most of that last year. I'm not sure on the Eleven. I know it has the Lotus powerplant and is a very neat car.

Test panels were shot yesterday. Going to be very close to this livery.

OMG, it's naked :)

It is fascinating how the green cab take in different tones in different light. This is what we are shooting for color wise.

Its a thin line between too pale and too dark.

Ya know - that might not look too bad, Swampwater!!!

I'm really getting anxious to see the end product! :thumbsup

You think you're anxious! I have got to get out of this habit of not having the car ready to drive until summer is half over. Have done that both summers with the GT40 and the last summer I had the Ford GT. This is not it but looks similar. I like the simplicity of this car a lot.

Luke,

How do you get in and out of your GT40 with no roll down windows when it's in your trailer? It looks like the doors can't be opened very wide in there.

Chip

Ha you need to be flexible and not very thick in the middle. Door opens just enough to turn sideways and stand up forward stepping out the front side of the door while holding on to a handle on the roof. Its not easy and thankfully only has to be done a few times each year. Definitely not a big boy car.

I don't envy you your choice to make. I thought the green was the best, but now looking at that white..... It's not quite white is it (the roundel is brighter than the paint). Wins either way though. Can't wait to see it done.

So did you go green or white? Both look nice.
