Has anyone tinkered with this lately? What were the results?

on the Granatelli web sight they are claiming a 16 hp gain and 27 ft-pounds of torque just by installing their coil packs.

As I recall these didn't get the best reception when originally presented. Bony banned the vendor for spamming and tests didn't show much if any improvement over stock.

I think J.C. Whitney still stocks one or two "gas saver" devices that pbly work just as well...'Just MHO.

The reason your car will be a little faster, is that the car will be a little lighter because of your empty wallet.

It is hard to improve upon the stock system without major surgery. The stock coil drivers and ECU limit the amount of current that is supplied to the coils, any coils. Also the coils are mounted deep into the valve covers, even if you could drive them harder they would overheat and have a shortened lifespan. The only real upgrade would be to mount 8 external coils with 8 new coil drivers. John at Accufab has done this on some cars.

Easiest HP is

1. tune
2. Pulley and tune
3. Whipple and tune
4. TT or SC/TT

Everything else doesn't really matter.
