Drove our GT from home in Gainesville FL 2.5 hours south to the American Muscle Car Museum in Melbourne Saturday. Amazing place. The Regional National Corvette Restorer Society car show was also being held in the parking lot:

Funny, he has 27 Ford GTs and yet when we pulled in they thanked us for bringing ours and let us park on concrete whereas the mere mortals (:)) had to park on the slightly soggy lawn. Not only didn't I wanna park on wet ground, it actually looked possible to get stuck!

This museum car sold today on BaT

In his 154-mile yellow FGT BaT listing (https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2006-ford-gt-145/#comments-anchor) he commented:

This 2006 Speed Yellow Ford GT is another example of an all original Ford GT that has been meticulously maintained by the American Muscle Car Museum staff in a modern air-conditioned and de-humidified facility in Melbourne, FL.

Often the vehicles within the AMCM are used by numerous national car shows to judge against “a perfect brand new car, which often is 15 to 35+ years old”.

That fact is confirmed this weekend at the AMCM with the Regional National Corvette Restorer Society’s show ongoing through this Saturday.
The NCRS is using a few of the AMCM’s delivery mile Corvettes as the known benchmark to a perfectly original car.

We pride ourselves in keeping each vehicle in 100% running condition at all times. A claim hardly any large car collections can state.

and ...

The Regional National Corvette Restorers Society (NCRS) car show was a huge success this Friday and Saturday with about 1500 attendees.
All money raised went to the Florida Wildlife Hospital (a local non-profit).

The AMCM has well over 400+ cars with all cars being 100% original. We have over 260+ cars with less than 100 original miles, 40+ cars with between 100 to 1000 miles, 40+ cars between 1001 to 9999 miles plus about 80+ cars that are frame-off, national award winning cars.
Most vehicles are unique special edition cars in unique 1 of 1 or very rare colors.
Highlights:
– 27 Ford GTs with only 4 above 100 miles
– largest & most extensive collection of Yenkos
– largest collection of restored Porsche tractors (1 of every make/model ever built)
– 80+ Porsches with most being Paint To Sample (PTS) or limited editions with less than 100 miles.
Porsche 959s, Carrera GTs, 918s, Turbo Ss, GT2 RSs, Etc

One of every make & model of Mustang, Shelby & Camaro ever built.

Plus tons and tons of memorabilia !

Next event for the AMCM to be open to the Public is Sunday – February 4, 2024 from 10 AM to 2 PM for the British & European car show.

I wonder if all their delivery miles GTs have had the air bag recall done. For that matter, all the cars since Mustangs and others were also affected.

Here's museum owner, Mark Pieloch's video showing and discussing his '66 Alan Mann GT40 and '22 Alan Mann Heritage

That is awesome! I hope they have an event that coincides with a launch this year.

I don't know but would not be surprised. He seems incredibly meticulous and dedicated to making his collection perfect.

Wow, Looks like a great place to visit. I'll be heading there soon.

The way he phrased it, it's not open daily to the public, but you can attend any time there's a charity event, which I think is the only time he opens it: https://www.americanmusclecarmuseum.com/muscle-car-events.html

See my comment above ... need to make sure there's an event going on so you can actually get in; not open daily to public.

Here's a My Classic Car TV video of the museum's '66, '06 and '19 outside and driving around the museum grounds with owner, Mark. Interesting that the facility is entirely solar-powered.

There is an Antique Automobile Club of America show coming up at the American Muscle Car Museum on March 9th, 2024. Both the front and rear showrooms will be open. Entry to the rear (400 + cars) showroom is included if you register and bring a car, $25 if you're not entering a car in the show. Fantastic place to visit, an incredible collection of cars, most of them with under 100 miles on them. One real vintage GT40, one continuation GT40, one of each color of 2005-6 Ford GT's, and about 15 2017-2022 Ford GT's. Plus a ton of Mustangs, Corvettes, and Porsches.
