Amelia Island Concours 2013

Saturday is Cars and Coffee on 18th fairway. First time they have done this. Go to website and email them. I have and my window decal for entry is in the mail. With GT 40 as feature car it is a must. Hope to see you there.

I'm planning on being there if I'm not called away at the last minute for a personal reason. Not familiar with the Amelia logistics. Are we planning to park the FGTs in a common area? How does this work?

Ok, I did go to the website (which says nothing about a C&C), and I did email them a week ago. No answer.

What's the deal here? Password? Secret handshake?

+1 I started a thread on the Cars & Coffee Forum asking about Amelia and also sent them an email. Heard nothing so far.

Since the Amelia Island Hyatt Regency is full. Where do you suggest we stay, N Jacksonville or a town closer to Amelia? I'll need a large parking lot for a car hauler, but not a 5-star hotel/motel.

Thanks, Jer

The cars and coffee event info was in an e-mail blast from the event coordinators. said participation was invitation only, local clubs, etc. I emailed them and they replied right away, mailed me a decal for entry. I guess keep trying to e mail. There is a phone number also.

I live about two hours away and plan on driving there. Staying with friends...wish had room to help. If you can get through to organizers ther is plenty of room for haulers at their staging areas.

Gents-
I will be with my 1959 Mercedes 220se on the show field in the postwar Mercedes class on Sunday.
There is a lot of other fun stuff Fri and Sat.
Come say hello!

They just ran a segment on CNBC about the "Ferrari Bubble" and how Amelia would be a good indication of the mega collector Ferrari market. My guess is that the market is pretty good. The mega bucks collector market has seemed very strong, and you wouldn't have these manufacturers committing to produce a couple billion dollars worth of modern limited edition cars if the money wasn't floating around.
