Am I the first to break the rear diffuser?

I've had my car for just over a week and today I was backing out of my garage and I hit the curb. My drive slopes down and I'm not used to how high the clutch grabs, so I went "bang". I chipped off about a 1" corner of the right rear diffuser.

Does Ford sell just the right diffuser or do you have to buy the whole rear aero package? Any idea of the cost?

Does anyone have instructions on how to remove it?

Diffuser is riveted on...I don't know if you can buy just the blades...I would think you could..if you need the whole pan its about $1300.

I broke an inch off mine about a month ago.

Rear Diffuser

The rear diffuser is held on by about 20 screws. It is aviable from Ford for about $1000.00.

Mine came scraped from the Ford dealer when I bought the car new with 1.7 miles on it. I had to replace it. It was $1,292.87 plus tax. Ford GT customer support was no help at all as they said it was between me and the Ford dealer. They never even entertained the idea that it came that way from the factory or the truck transporting from the factory. Frankly, I found Ford GT customer support a joke on all the items I contacted them for. That's enough, I don't want to hijack this post. It's pretty simple to R&R.
 
Someone should talk to Ford and convince them to sell the right and left venturi's with a set of rivets. It seems really crazy to have to buy the whole under tray just to replace a 1" chip. It's a waste of materials and money.

Maybe someone should make carbon fiber venturi's. I would buy a set. (After I'm 100% sure I won't do this again.)

Here's a lead

Jerrry Brubaker in Ohio aka "66gt40" broke his the same way you did. He told me he ordered a carbon fiber set. You may want to send him a private message and ask where he is getting the set and how much they cost.

Hmmmm... Like the delete bumper thing, but the difuser is VERY Ferrari like.. aint it??
