What does FGT Forum think?

I'm writing a description of my car to go with a photo shoot (calendar) the car was used in for my favorite girls HS softball team...

I've described it thusly:

2005 Ford GT, 600 HP 5.4 DOHC V-8, supercharged with dry sump oiling system & Ricardo 6 speed transaxle. Performance: 0-60 in 3.3 seconds, 1/4 mile ET in 11.5 seconds, top speed 212 mph.

For reference: My car has Heffner's 2.7" pulley kit, exhaust, tuning by Torrie's FPN/Unleashed.

Keep in mind, it's likely no one familiar with these cars will ever see the pictures, but I want to be accurate and believable ntl.

How 'bout some feed back? Am I close on my numbers? Too high, too low?

... top speed 212 mph....

The speed limiter is set for 205 mph.

I'm presently looking at performace times recorded by wunna the auto rags (don't remember WHICH ONE). I laminated their test results:

0-60 = 3.7 (can you say "tire spin"?) A couple "rags" reported 3.3 and 3.5 here.

Qtr = 11.2/131.2

Top speed = 201 (ON THIS PARTICULAR TEST) Top speed elect. limited to 205. W/o THAT, I've read reports of anywhere from 212 to 218 (supposedly stock).

Your call, sir!

Can you document those times? The car mags would confirm 550+ hp and 0-60 in 3.5 sec. Torrie probably reset the limiter to higher than 205. You might add all aluminum and carbon fiber body.

No, I can't... that's why I'm using the magazine numbers for a basically stock GT.

With the relatively simple mods I have, and a great tune, I feel (I'm sure) my car is significantly quicker & faster that it was originally, but how much is only a guess at this point... hence the reason for this post.

With a pulley and Tune, I'd bet with a broken in car, the crank HP of you car is 650-700. (The GT X-1 with a Pulley tune/Exhaust was well known to have 700 HP.)

I have read that a stock GT will dyno to 580 crank HP once it has been broken in, and a tune only adds 40-50 HP to this.

Check the threads on Pulley-Tune Dynos.
