Chris,

No, I know that would screw them up. But I will probably have Heffner build me a 2nd exhaust without the cats so that I can use the good stuff on special occasions like the Mile.

I liked the Silver intake of your Camilo/Heffner TT GT so much I had mine painted the same way. I think that Red-White TT you drove at Rally IV is the best looking GT that exists. I wish I had the money to bid on it at Rally III. :cheers Are you coming down for Barrett-Jackson?

Chip

Not going to make it to BJ this year.

I could say the same about your beautiful yellow GT, Chip. Following behind your GT from Phoenix to LA for Rally II sent me on a quest. I could not rest until I found a yellow GT just like yours...

Heffner GT TT intake trivia.

Gentlemen,

Here's a little trivia I learned in Florida that I bet very few people know about. Hundreds of people at two car shows I have attended so far have examined my TT GT with the clamshell open. A ton of people have asked me how many turbo charged GTs the factory produced. Onlookers are not surprised that someone would add turbochargers to a GT. They are surprised that someone could do it and make it look like a factory installation. Original Heffner Ford GT twin turbos had a welded sheet metal intake manifold. But during the construction of the Camilo/Heffner Ford GT that Chris owns, Camilo Pardo wanted to design a special one-piece, machined, billet aluminum intake manifold that would look nicer and present a more factory appearance. So Camilo went to work and personally designed the intake manifold for the Camilo/Heffner car. They painted it the same silver as the engine compartment support struts and adorned it with a red circle that contained the words Camilo and Heffner. All Heffner Ford TT GTs produced since then have utilized Camilo's intake manifold. It looks factory because the man who designed the entire car, designed the intake manifold for Heffner's TT cars as well. I wonder if even Chris knew that about his car?

The last photo in the series below is of the welded manifold used prior to Chris's TT GT.

Yeah, I knew that. Dave explained it in Las Vegas before the auction when we were all looking the car over.

Nice photos of the intake, I have never seen the underside!

A definitely agree with you Chip. This conversion looks like a factory install.

You got a lot of room in front of that intake manifold. It would be a perfect place for a 10lbs bottle of nitrous.

I'm just say'n.

If you use that placement you wouldn't need a bottle heater either! :biggrin
