$400 oil change

I Just had mine done today too at 976 miles. Avis Ford in Southfield Michigan. Total was $274.37. Labor 127.50 : filter 33.56 : Oil 8.75 /qt (we put in 9 1/2qts and I took 2.5 qts home) total parts $138.56 plus tax. I arrived at 8:30 am and left at 12:00 noon. I was with the car 100% of the time. Saw every belly pan screw removed, filter replaced/subframe cleaned, oil drained from 3 points.New filter / oil /pressurized check for leaks , added air to tires for me...needed special ramps to allow hoist arms under car. Hoist pads are only about 4"x4". Tech was very very careful. He probably could have worked faster, but I asked a lot of questions. Watched every screw replaced. He is the only Tech at Avis Ford GT certified and does them all.. Given ALL the work, I was happy I did not have to do it..

$490 oil change???
I've just been quoted about $490 for my upcoming Thursday morning oil change at Ken Grody Ford in Buena Park. Believe me, I am not trying to break the GT forum record for most money spent on an oil change.
They have a separate location and tech dedicated to working on the GT, so we'll see how it goes. Hopefully the estimate was a mistake and the actual cost is less.
I'll inquire the day of the appt. and hopefully it will be less.
I need to start changing my own oil, if it's going to cost that much.
If anyone else has had their GT done at Ken Grody, please let me know what it cost. Thanks!
