Has anyone got some suggestions for how to best 4 or 5 point harnesses? Any pictures of such an installation? Is it possible to keep the original seat belts still working as an alternative to the harnesses (so you can use the harnesses on the track and the regular seat belt on the street)?

I am in Northern California. Are there any shops here (or maybe in Southern California) that would be good for this kind of installation?

Thanks for any suggestions you might have.

As Bony said, Livermore Performance is what you are looking for. Go with their 6 point harness and hardware. Fellow NoCal GT owner Ed Sims will probably help you out, but if you call Livermore, they will know exactly what you need. My 6 point removable set up from them is awesome.

You can get the stuff from Livermore, but you'll be better off ordering straight form Safecraft. You need the shoulder, lap and sub belts, plus the Brey-Krause belt hooks to add to the seat belt bolts. Buy hook on type belts, and you take them out. Leave the shoulder harnesses in behind the seat. You will also need a belt bar to hold the shoulder belts, also made by Safecraft. It bolts right in with the bolts already on the firewall. I pulled my seats to do the install, but Ed Sims did not. The replacement bolts are 5/8 " fine thread, grade 8. The seat bracket bolts are torx 50.Gewttting seats out is easy, but getting those darned bolts backin took a lot of time. Go to Livermore's website and look at the pictures of Ed's car.

Blockbuster - Do a search as there are many threads, posts & photos on this subject. Either Livermore or Safecraft are great sources. Safecraft is a supporting vendor of the forum.
