Kayvan,

Yep, and they made the right call. I just wish they had done the interior differently. Not even a touch of retro there, that's for sure.

Okay, the Gulf scheme should be outlawed immediately and all images should be embargoed. I've just had a apoplectic fit, and I still have clients to meet before the day is done...

So....they are basically going to get 100% GULF/ Heritage orders

Everyone knows the car will pay for itself in 5yrs appreciation

Might be rolling into Maacco to get Red.

"What do you think of Ford's new sleek and edgy GT supercar, a 600-horsepower machine? Comes in Seahawks blue."

very different design than the 05/06s. I see alot tof the 458 Speciale here. while some are more exagerated I see mnay similarities. also looks like tubi exhaust on many ferraris and similar tail lights. I sure hope they do soemthing on the bottom of the rear wing or for sure the exhaust is going to melt it away!!!

F458 rear is like muffin-top / high belt line

real muffin-top at right for comparison

'16 GT more like my avatar...

Sleek & tight

I'm not much of an internet poster but, after seeing this car, I've gotta say......

There are very few things in life where all the stars align. The design of this car is one of them. I know the internet is generally the place for whining and moaning (probably why I don't post much) so let me answer the (sure to follow) onslaught of negative silliness with this.

The design is close to perfect. Even if beauty is in the eye of the beholder, some things are just indisputably awesome/cool/beautiful/etc. This car is one of them. Tying 1966 with 2006 with 2016 seems impossible. I guess it's not.

That Heritage paint rendering, if accurate, is..... I'm actually speechless.

Tommy want wingy (or a new GT)!

OMG I need this car. Until I saw the Heritage paint scheme I was on the fence with the new design. No more now I think I'm in love.

Suddenly, that new NSX looks pretty lame.

No shit! Talk about bringing a knife to an M-1 Abrams tank battle. :lol

Here's a screen shot from the NSX reveal video:

The new GT looks good. Not a fan of the V6.

"Ford GT designer Moray Callum told us this is the fastest design he's ever done, and that it took about 14 months from start to finish. He also said that a small team worked on it in a basement to help keep it on the down low."

Moray Callum is a design director. Camilo getting the credit he did for his work on 05/06 was a total aberration in the automotive design world. You will not see that kind of situation with this car. Usually it's the guy several levels above that gets most of the credit.

Studio sketch by Giancarlo Viganego...

Ford absolutely knocked the design out of the park. I can't say there is another newly designed car that comes close to the looks of the GT. The LaFerrari looks like a pig in comparison.

Hammer, meet nail!

Any pictures of the Italians in the crowd trying (very hard) not to look very scarred?

Finally...folks realizing Ferrari's "not gorgeous" issue

I was like only guy saying this about F458 when that was considered hot?!?
