MNJason, I suggest you contact them and try talking to them about it. See how far you get. Trust me, we tried when the GT was the honored car in July last year. Your requirements may be a little different than the group as a whole.

I love the idea of the Salt Flats mostly just because I've always wanted to attend the event, but Barber is a great destination too (raced the Formula mazda there a couple of times) as it is a fun and challenging track.

My requirements are a bed and a shower in a decent neighborhood. Outside parking is fine with me. Parked outside at many hotels....never a problem. Why does a track ALWAYS have to be involved. I can't believe EVERYONE here is into tracking their car. If you are....great, but don't forget us that do not. Can't we get together under another venue? I don't give a rats pitootie about $300 rooms....I'm not in the room enough. Same applies to $100 meals. Good ole $10BBQ plate is fine with me. I just enjoy the friends and camaraderi. Can't put a price on that. Just thought of a funny.

$300 rooms
$100 meals
Good friends and camaraderie ...PRICELESS:biggrin:thumbsup

I'm still in favor of either Alberta or Newfoundland.

NW Montana or N. Idaho would be good too.

I guess anywhere is OK with me.
