Does anyone know if they are being sold at MSRP, higher or lower?
Also, is it worth the money to add the Supersnake package by Shelby in vegas shop? Thanks!

you can find them for less than msrp. however some dealers still are asking more than msrp. 1k over invoice is a good price of the 2010 gt500.

i believe the ss package is a waste of money if you are going to drive the car.
i say this because you can get better performance for less money with other after market parts.
if you will only be driving a couple thousand miles a year the ss should hold its value. if not a 5 year old 50k mile ss will probably hold very little of its additional 20k price tag.

a gt500 with the griggs basic suspension(all 4 corners on adjustable koni coilovers) and the 2.9 whipple would be one hell of a car for half the price of the ss.

If you planned to do a griggs and whipple change, is there enough of a difference between a 10 shelby and an 08 or 09. Seems like a very low mile to new 08 or 09 would save enough to pay for at least half of the upgrades.
I don't know enough about the model year changes and am curious as to which option is more attractive.

Thanks,

Steve

Gaby, there is one here locally that I can get you at $1K over invoice. Call me and i'll get you set up. Did you sell Chip's Cobra?

the 10 gt500 msrp went up. i think 2 or 3 thousand in msrp. so one could probably save 5 maybe 6k by purchasing a new 09/08 gt500. from what i gather the 10 rides and handles a lot better than the 09. the other big thing is the interior is more upscale! take a look at both and then decide.

suspension -
frpp ~ 2k very good solid kit(is used on the ss from what i know)
ground control ~ i believe its close to 2.5k(i havent checked in a while). coilovers on all 4 corners with great reviews.
griggs ~ 3.6k includes 4 adjustable koni coilovers torque arm and adjustable panhard bar, etc.
griggs sla ~ 8.3k includes k member and short long arm front suspension.

whipple(or other twin screw) ~ 5k.

I picked up my 2010 at the end of July for well under it's MSRP of 48,550. Do a little shopping around and I'm sure you can find a similar deal on a 2010 if that is your desire.

If you can wait, get the 2011 which will have the Ford GT 5.4 aluminum block. That's what I am going to get.

Same material, different block.

The 2011 Ford GT500 will probably have an aluminum block. But it will not be the Ford GT dry sump aluminum block. It will have a different part number and will be a different piece. Shaving a couple hundred pounds off the front end of the GT500 would probably be a good thing. Shaving about 50 pounds off of my chassis, would certainly make my pants fit better.
