Some cars thrive on BaT. Air cooled Porsches, BMW and classic Mercedes typically bring all the money plus some.

Current American Muscle cars usually struggle, especially GM products.

At least the sellers aren't paying Craig Jackson anything

I've noticed that too on BAT, American muscle cars don't often bring the coin that the German stuff does. That was a very interesting auction to watch, the GT still elicits strong feelings 10+ years out from production.

The buyer isn't paying Craig Jackson anything, but he is paying BAT a buyer's fee of $5,000.00, so his total purchase price is $240k.

Still, 5%, maxing out at $5,000 is a lot less than B-J, or Mecum. AND it isn't going to Craig Jackson, which has its own value.
