A very well done Superperformance GT40 MK 1 with Rousch 427 power.

I have NO financial interest in this fleabay auction. Just posting so you guys can see a very sanitary build in Gulf livery. Enjoy ...

And a right sill shifter!

Mikey?

Beautiful.
How come the rear tires and rear wheel wells have such a large gap? I don't remember seeing this before...

My guess is it's a "wide body" and the owner didn't 'spring' for the prerequisite wider rear wheels...

Regardless, what a nice car...

Raked out with wrong width rear wheels and wrong tires. That is really dumb.

Dumb? Or the guy just ran out of $$$?

How do you run out of a few extra hundred to have the right wheels made and a set of Avons on a car that he's got at least 150 into?

Hey, 'stuff happens', Mikey. Divorce...bankruptsy...God only knows...but, stuff happens...

An aside: I wonder if this car looks as good 'in person' as it does in the photos?

Last year I flew down to Scottsdale to take a lookey-pooh at a Heritage GT40 that looked PRESTINE in the ad photos. 'Ended up walking away from it for a whole host of reasons...

'Not saying that might be the case with this one, you understand...

(Edit: All that said, I have NO idea why the shifter on this car is 3 feet tall. THAT would hafta go...)

That's because if you want a clean GT40, there's only one out there…

Okay so the owner is in over his head. Surely the dealer is a bonehead to not throw a few thou into it so they can get triple that out of it… dumb
