Thanks for the site Sam. That could be my car they are assembling. Mine is early Sebiring Silver FI car with power windows. To bad I could not read that vin number!

Car is an icon. Very cool.

I'd like to see the split window RETURN via the C7...

Unlikely, I can see the lawsuits claiming a defect in visibility caused the driver to run over the kid while backing up.

There are PLENTY of grounds to file lawsuits against practically ALL manufacturers on that front right now (bad rear visibility). 'Has been for YEARS. ('Likely why "backup" cameras are popping up all over the place these days.)

I dunno, Clinton, I can't see (no pun intended) how a narrow seamed split window can possibly be as much of a rear/side corner view blocker as the HEEEEEWMUNGUS rear pillars on some cars these days (in fact, look at the FGT's "A" pillars as they relate to vision out the FRONT qtrs!). Buuuuut, dat's just my 'pinion, and what do I know...:cheers

Car is painted. I just finished all the stainless steel & glass polishing - myself... Assembly of rubber, Chrome, stainless and glass and back home to finish the interior. This the last one. I dont have the energy anymore.

Did you use that Eastwood kit we discussed?

This the last one. I dont have the energy anymore.

The same circumstance befell me immediately after I 'crashed & burned' 10 yrs ago. However, there presently is a certain "coffee table" (:mad) project I'm going to undertake if I can locate all the specific parts I need (want) BEFORE starting it.

Yes I used the Eastwood product recommended. There were a few scratches that would not polish out and at that point I said screw it. Running the palm of my hand on the glass before and after was an awakening experience. I am amazed at the amount of shit that builds on glass after nearly 50 years... At a minimum, it is cleaner and smoother than I had ever expected.

Depending on how DEEP they actually are, some of them may still come out with a little more time and aggression. I think I mentioned that I've removed scratches that at first glance looked pretty hopeless (wiper arm contact). They did require some extra determination, and they didn't come out 100% PERFECT...but, someone who didn't know they were there wouldn't be likely to see 'em unless he was LOOKING for 'em. 'Just something to ponder...
