19 Carbon-Series any 12 volt outlet in vehicle for radar detector and or dash cam? If not how to hard wire?

You can hard wire from the overhead lights. There is a post here on how to do it.

Better to hard wire from passenger foot well.

Carbon Series cars do not come with a 12volt power point like the others, however the wire harnesses may still have the connector to install one.

I hard wired to the overhead lights a new Escort 360C but at random times it gives a voice warning “low voltage” and it was getting random Ka alarms that were false. Sent the detector back, said the repaired the antenna but no change. maybe that’s why Ed says better to wire from the footwell?

I hard-wired my Radenso Pro M from the overhead light, no problems. Popping the cover off is, err, nerve-wracking, lots of leverage required!

My escort redline is hardwired to the dome lights. No problems. I used a blend mount.

Thanks, sounds like it was a bad unit, will see what happens when I get get the new replacement. Yeah I am using a blendmount also, they’re great for an unobtrusive installation.
