    Dyno work

Not the easiest question to answer. Simple answer is several hundred dollars assuming no equipment is required. It will take one of two pulls to set a baseline, if no problem. Than several pulls to tune the car as adjustments are made and/or faulty parts are changed or corrected. Depends...

200 mph, Whipple and the Salt Flats

This is a view of the improvised 2 courses at Bonneville on 15 Aug 2007. Rain the week before washed out the entire 3 course racing surface that had been prepared. The salt was not good in 2007 Here is link to larger photo: http://www.fordgtforum.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=2458&cat=500

Wildwood Brakes... A Warning- Pls Read!

I thought that Wilwood has a valve that can be added to the system to avoid the problem. Also what has Wilwood said about the issues? I don't remember seeing a post that some one has contacted them. I also don't understand why some one would have changed from the stock rotors, since 6 piston...

    Track day-Goodyear Eagles vs. Hoosiers

Daniel The Hoosiers are actually DOT rated but again in my opinion should not be used on the street. Just because a tire is DOT rated does not mean it is meant for normal street driving. I absolutely agree with you comments concerning insurance coverage or the lack there off and no one can...

    Track day-Goodyear Eagles vs. Hoosiers

Depends on the exhaust system, how your tune was done, add-ons, etc. I have not noticed any temp increase when running Hoosiers. Here is the East I have run on 70 degree days and 98 degree days. You certainly are going to maintain a higher rpm with Hoosiers thus the engine is generating more...

    Track day-Goodyear Eagles vs. Hoosiers

They are streetable only in dry weather. So yes some one can drive them several hundred miles to and from a track event in complete dry weather and feel comfortable and safe. But if the road is wet you will have a major traction problem. Would not recommend people using them on the street...

Why doesnt Lambo have a Formula 1 team/car?

Thank for posting the real story. They had a bad engine, car, chassis, etc. Unreliability does not sell cars. Yes its true that Ferrari recently overtook Ford, but when many the F-1 field were using a Ford/Cosworth engine the odds were greatly in their favor of winning.

    Warped front brake rotors

Good post. As mentioned in article make sure back side of rotor and hub are flat. Always clean, minimally with a wire brush to remove any residue. Also perform with new rotors, new doesn't mean that there isn't crud on the back side.

    Warped front brake rotors

Next time you get rotors for driving events have them cryogentically treated. It helps with wear and overheating. Well worth the investment if you do multiple track days. Rotors only not the pads. No negatives for street driving. Depending on how badly they are warped they could be turned...

    Rocker Panel & Fender Protectors

The were designed for aerodymics and to keep crap off the sides which has been a problem with C5s and C6s which are tracked. Door sills can look like they were sand blasted and brake cooling inlets really get sand blasted.

I also believe its the Norwood P4 in Belgian racing colors. The actual number of surviving cars has always been disputed including if any true originals still exist. I believe the Ferrari owner's club has certified one as being originial. Still one of the prettiest cars ever made, IMHO. My...

Jim Contact Southern Califonria TIming Assocation (SCTA) as they are the ruling body. You need to get their rule book. Also on East Coast, East Coast Timing Association (ECTA) does events at Maxon, NC, one mile only. Both have stringent rules for your own safety. If you don't abide by their...
