    Whipple 3.25" pulley numbers: 807.45 rwhp, 764.25 rwtq !!

The following is a follow-up to my original post in this thread. I made a few runs yesterday with the 3.50" pulley. The results were quite interesting: _____________RWHP____RWTQ Uncorrected___786.11___719.68 STD__________773.84___708.43 SAE__________750.75___687.27 Uncorrected, these numbers...

    Knocking on 1100RWHP

Incredible!! You keep setting the bar higher for your stock longblock. Whose dyno were you on at the PRI show? Out of curiosity, what were your SAE and STD numbers from that 1089 run? How about the air conditions? Also, what is the "mark" you are shooting for before you can enjoy your car...

Got my wipple powered car today!

Yes, it would be interesting to have all that information. Eric(Black2003Cobra) is recording all of this data and I think it would be beneficial if he were to publish the results. So far as I know, he has data from a number of GT's with the Whipple. Being able to see the pulley size, boost...

    New DynoJet runs: 572 rwhp!!

I am not sure if that question is directed to me or Torrie, in case you are directing that question to me, the number is .030". Steve

    Whipple 3.25" pulley numbers: 807.45 rwhp, 764.25 rwtq !!

You are preaching to the choir. As I stated earlier, my next step is the 3.50" pulley that is good for about 19psi of boost. TR6's are colder than stock but I am not sure how many steps colder. Steve

    Whipple 3.25" pulley numbers: 807.45 rwhp, 764.25 rwtq !!

I am running the TR6 plugs but they are too hot for this application. If I were to continue with this combination, I would go to a colder plug. As far as the timing, I was at 21 degrees at maximum horsepower. Steve

    Whipple 3.25" pulley numbers: 807.45 rwhp, 764.25 rwtq !!

Since your numbers are the first I saw using the Whipple, I am using them as my benchmark. If I am not mistaken, you are running 730+ SAE rwhp (750+ STD) on 91 octane California gasoline with the 3.50" 19 psi pulley - and so far with zero problems!! You've got to be happy with that! Steve

    Whipple 3.25" pulley numbers: 807.45 rwhp, 764.25 rwtq !!

Agreed. My goal is right around 12.0:1. That is what I will shoot for when I start tuning with the 3.50" pulley. Thanks. Steve

    Whipple 3.25" pulley numbers: 807.45 rwhp, 764.25 rwtq !!

Thanks, and I agree! Thank you! I definitely need to find a tune-up with my 92 octane unleaded that will work with the 3.50" pulley. I am with you on lowering the boost and who cares about 20 rwhp at these levels. I will now go to the 3.50" pulley and see what the boost level is. Hopefully...

Update! Whipple 3.25" pulley numbers: 807.45 rwhp, 764.25 rwtq !! Ok, so those numbers are UNCORRECTED. But who cares, it actually made 807.45 rwhp and 764.25 rwtq. I can't help it if it was 50.6 degrees out, a barometric pressure of 29.8, and a humidity of 48%.:biggrin Since bony used STD...

    Who Wants A Whipple Supercharger!!!

From the Whipple installation manual, "Whipple does not recommend exceeding 23 psi of boost on stock engines." I am going to start with the 21 psi pulley and then, later on, going to the 23 psi pulley. As far as the antifreeze, I too started out with the siphon hose but could only get a...

    Who Wants A Whipple Supercharger!!!

I received my Whipple from HP Performance on Friday, 11/24 and installed it the next day. I am starting with the 3.25" pulley that is good for appx. 21psi of boost. The R&R was very straight forward - really about as easy as you can get. The only issue I had was a mismatch between the Accufab...

Happy Thanksgiving! Update on Joe's GT

Absolutely incredible!! I wonder how long it will take to get the ear to ear grin off your face?! How you are able to tune this thing without breaking something is a real testimony. Cripes, what's kind of power will this thing record next? If this isn't king of the hill territory, I would...

I am ready for a pulley but....

Not all of us in the PNW are going to let this inclement weather keep us down. I am taking delivery of my Whipple on Friday and will install it and start the tuning (with Tony's help) this weekend. I am not as concerned about something going wrong with the motor - especially when you consider...
