The power steering return hose, from the p/s pump to the reservoir are deteriorating from the inside out. If you feel the hose, it will feel greasy. This hose is not serviced anymore. It is only available from Me or Rich Brooks, the GT guy. We only have a limited amount and when these are gone...
I sure hope everyone does the power steering hose replacement as an upgrade. Rich Brooks (the GT guy) and I are the only place replacements are available. When these are gone, there will be no more.
Did you use a vacuum rig to refill the coolant? Unless you used it, you will never get all the air out of the system. Trust me, we tried. There is a petcock on the top of the rad. Just for a test, we tried to bleed it through there to no avail. They were all filled using a vacuum set up at the...
Actually, the fellow who made these up is a fellow GT owner. He owns a production machining shop. I only was in that side of the building for a few minutes as his Man cave it on the other side of the building. I did not see how he did them but we are working on the Tach adapter and I will get...
I will get them out today. Total is just $150. but send it as a friend or family so PayPay does not take a chunk out. Any questions, let me know.
Thanks

There are 2 rings, one for the front and one for the back. They are made to interlock together. The plastic ring that comes with the Speedhut speedo secures it all together. It is hard to tell from these pictures but a lot of machine work was put in to them.
Will send a set out in the morning. They are $150. My PayPal account is [email protected] Any questions please feel free to call.
Thanks

I have been using Royal Purple MaxEZ power steering fluid on the cars I replace the power steering hose on. It is synthetic but made to blend well with conventional fluid. I'm a synthetic fluid fanatic. Takes about 14-15 oz. Run the car for a bit and work the steering wheel back and forth a...
I have 5 sets of adapter rings for mounting a Speedhut speedometer in an OEM gauge panel. They are anodized to match the black. Cost is $150. plus shipping.
We are close to having a tach set up done. I need to do some testing on that piece.
Will go out today. I would advise changing it ASAP. The hoses are deteriorating from the inside out. All the contaminates are being washed through the entire P/S system. Please feel free to call me if you have any questions. (586) 292-2788 Thanks, Rich
I had my guys make me 5 sets. They are out for powder coating now. Not sure of the cost yet but will keep you in the loop. I hope to have them in a week or two.
As the old hose low pressure is no good, just cut it in half and pull it through the frame rail clamp. The new hose, not being swollen up will slide right through the clamp.
The car we tested it on got a full set of small gauges from Autometer at the same time. A couple were out as was the speedo. Everything bolted in and hooked up with no problem except we did not use the extra Speedhut lighting connectors. The little transformer for the speedo lighting was 2 sided...
No. I have been topping off the fluid level with Royal Purple Maxez synthetic power steering fluid. It blends with conventional p/s fluid. Usually takes about 15-16 ounces.
You are right. But If the supply of OEM speedo and tach completely dry up, if they are not already, a backup plan might be nice to have. That is why we only made 1 and I wanted to see if there was any interest in doing more.
The black screw on ring comes with the speedhut gauge. The other 2 are what we had made up. As they are aluminum, they could be anodized any color. This one was painted black to save time required to send out for anodizing.
Working on the Tack, but that is a lot more complicated. Trying to use the guts from a speedhut modified to fit the OEM tach housing. I can get the speedo ones made up pretty quickly if there is interest. Not sure on cost, but could put something together if the interest was there to sell some.
