Wheels for the GT!! What to do??

Kumar, I am with you on this one - I'm thinking 19" or 20" on front and 20" on back - especially as I've just discovered Pirelli are bringing out a new P Zero Corsa tyre in 335/30/20 size (along with a 255/35/20 for the front) for the new Aston One-77 - should be perfect for the GT (as I'm...

I hear what you are saying about the air flow - but have to say - I prefer the CDC kit (even if it does involve some paint!):

UK owners - Plastic Number plate or aluminium - Heat issues?

I need to put a private plate on the GT so new plates required - the car currently has an Aluminium number plate. Has anyone had any problems with regular plastic plates - i.e melting or the backing film de-laminating?? Just assuming this is why the aluminium plate is fitted - but maybe not!!

Wheels for the GT!! What to do??

Lee, Looks like we have similar tastes! That black car ("the look you're going for") is, I believe, the one and the same "Geiger" car after it had the Matt stripes fitted - so the wheels in the "action" shot are the same as the static shot above. I think the KW suspension kit will lower by...

Wheels for the GT!! What to do??

Thanks Joe. I have had a quick look and will do more work - most of them seem to do the polished lip style though. Anyone heard of 360Forged??? They seem to do a very ncie Carbon Fibre wheel - looks like it can be made in various sizes and styles?

Wheels for the GT!! What to do??

I really like my BBS Forged wheels for the GT - I just wish they were 1 or 2" bigger so I could fit better tires! So I need to get some new wheels and tires for the GT - ideally Black. I must admit to not really caring for the HRE "Split-Rim" style wheels with the polished lip and separate...

    Got my GT......feels soft...susp mods??

Peak, Yes I'd be intresetd in your KW's - I am probably going to be ordering some stuff from Heffner anyway - so I can probably get shipped with that. How much are you looking for for them? can you PM or mail me? Here's some pics of the "fleet" when I had them all - need to get some of the FGT!!

    Got my GT......feels soft...susp mods??

Viper, Yes the Gt3rs is just so good on the marginal roads around here - despite the fact that it is more track biased than the FGT. The limited suspension travel of the Carrera GT meant that the GT3RS and even indeed the Murcielago are faster "point to point" than the Carrera GT..on the other...

What type and size wheels/tires on this TT GT?

No I think they are "Z" rated - the W relates to the weight rating (108W = 1080kg per corner) In any event you would buy the non-"run flat" version of the tyre as it's supposed to have more sidewall flex.

What type and size wheels/tires on this TT GT?

Chris - thats great thanks. I see that Geiger (the German tuner) offer their special wheels for the GT in 9X20" Front and 11X21" rear size - that means you run with a 325/30/21 Rear tire (which is slightly taller than stock) - and this means you can use Dunlop SP tires (which several people...

What type and size wheels/tires on this TT GT?

Thanks guys. Anyone know what SIZE wheels and tires they are using??? I have looked at HRE's website and have to say I like the look of the "monoblock" rims the best (mainly because I'm not keen on the polished/rolled rim look) - I wonder if HRE make any Monoblocks for the FGT?? If these guys...
