Speeds commentary of GT-1 is dissapointing. Diffey, Fish, Pruett and Schroeder are oblivious in regard to the GT. Blathering on about the Corvettes as they show video of the GT-1 leading GT on screen. No mention of the GT's except for the shunt. Diffey didn't even know the the drivers name...

Rolling jacks do work on the Bend Pak. I think we are talking about two different jacks. A rolling jack is just that, it rolls on wheels. A sliding jack as the name implies slides on pads. I have two rolling jacks on my Bend Pak that work great. The rollers fit in the channel iron thats welded...

As for the axle bolts check with your Ford dealer or their are tons of good posts about them just search "halfshaft bolts" or take a look at them and post what you see. You'll know at least if they are oem (grey allen head) bolts...

Lots of the engines used originally in the unlimited class boats were Allisons. Merlins were used later in the mid 70's by Bernie Little's Budweiser and others. Bernie switched to the very rare Rolls Royce Griffon in '79 through '85 ushering in the turbines when rarity and cost made the Griffon...

Possibly they were being used/cannibalized in the GT-1 builds. I had thought someone else in Europe was going to run GT-3 with a GT.

I agree on the "bling" thing...Paint would be easy or powdercoat, you could also just bead blast it.

I much prefer a rolling bridge jack over the sliding one shown. Air over hydraulic is also nice.
