Paint and other slightly off things were minor. These are handbuilt cars and many have little "somethings". If this is the car I saw, it was my opinion that the car was sound. It was very low mileage as well, under 200 at that time. As this is not 50 bucks we are talking about I recommended...

One thing to try is to get your hands on a couple of different models and see how the look and operate. Perhaps at the rally there will be a few there. Otherwise swing by any track event and look around. Most guys there are pretty cool and wouldn't mind showing you how their "boxes" work...
