    GT v Pantera

Cobrar - the first pic was with BFG T/As at the first Car Craft magazine "Street Machine Nationals" in Niagara Falls - the second pic was after I finally got my Pirelli P7's (THE hot tire of the day) djs - the brace on the side is hinged in front, and swung out for access. Tomcat - still...

    GT v Pantera

DeTomaso Pantera Had my '72 Pantera for a dozen years, and had a lot of fun with it. Put in a four-point cage, swapped in a real BOSS 351 engine, added 4-48IDA's, MindTrain louvers, moved the 8" Campys to the front and put 10's on the rear. The ZF worked fine once I shortened the shifter...

June 24th - Motor City Masters Premier Party

Gotta agree...the right guy went home...his sketch was pre-kindergarten. Darby certainly has artistic talent, and I certainly couldn't fault her for agreeing with Camilo on design elements for the car. Couple of her other guys are definitely not team players - way too full of themselves, and...

The cars you thought were cool back in the high school days .....

Rex - Sold the HiPo convertible and '57 T'Bird to facilitate my move from the frigid North Country to Sunny Florida. The HiPo went off to Germany, while the T'Bird is nearby here in Florida. Probably should have kept that 'Bird - only old car I had that had A/C.

The cars you thought were cool back in the high school days .....

high school dream cars.... When I was in high school, my dream was to work in the Design Center at Ford in Dearborn. The cars I lusted after were all high-performance Fords. Upon graduating from college in 1969, my parents gave me Mom's '65 Comet Caliente for a graduation present. I...

    Mustang 50th Birthday

Mustang 50th Anniversary in Charlotte I went to the one in Charlotte - great show, but the weather was terrible. Cool on Thursday, cool and cloudy on Friday, rained all day on Saturday. Here's a link to my pictures: https://www.flickr.com/photos/31256891@N08/sets/72157644162147052/ Not...

Hello Bob Johnson! So you're the "real bob" Johnson? Probably not "THE" Bob Johnson that used to race Cobras in the sixties? :lol Would like to get some more pics and info on your Mustang/Ford GT. Saw it at Charlotte, but didn't realize how special it was, as it was all closed up when I...

    Batwing w Batmobile

Best get a PPI on that Batmobile first :wink - I don't think THAT one is the "original" (note no Barris logos on front fender). Like the Ford GT40, there are a bunch of Batmobile replicas out there (the guy who painted my ERA has built two), and, like GT40s, the replicas aren't worth a...

    PPI On ERA Cobra Replica

Hard to beat an ERA Cobra replica - looks like the real thing, rides and handles better. The fiberglass body is much more practical than an aluminum body. The alloy bodies are sweet, but unless you live near Provo, UT, you're gonna pay a pretty penny to an exotic car repair shop to fix any...

    GT350 clone

    Nice ride. Gotta love the Shelby GT350 - I've had three of them, plus a '68 GT500 convertible - wish I still had them all...... 6S 1206..... 6S 285...... 6S1380...... Jeff

Yellow no stripe GT in NorCal

There were only six Yellow "Stripe Delete" cars built (with NO stripes on the top or the sides), and eleven Yellows built with Side Stripes ONLY (and at least one of those has had its side stripes removed). regards, Jeff

    GTs @ BJ

I spent the day at Mecum Tuesday. There are five GTs listed on their website - I searched and searched, but could only find three of them. The Yellow '05 (Lot #S131) and Matte Black twin-turbo car (Lot #S80.1)were nowhere to be found on the grounds.
