So what is a paint correction? Was it orange and you fixed it to red? Did you do a re-paint to fix bad Paint? It looks good.

1000HP for one thing. Using it too much the other.

How many miles on your car? Since the tension is set by a tensioner I'd rule out damage from over tightening. Maybe just a poor bearing to start. I've only had mine off once and saw no issues. One more thing to be aware of.

I use GOLD CLASS rich leather cleaner/conditioner by Meguiar and it works very well. Don't know what it would be like if I didn't use anything. I use it about once a year since the car sits in an airconditioned garage 99.95% of the time. No bad odor. White cream.

Tool Here is what I did. The I ground the back of the 3/8 tool ans a little off the front as shown in the side view. I think the whole set cost about $5 bucks.

I bought a cheap set from Harbor Freight and ground the back off of the closest size to thin it down and slip into the spring. Worked.

The tree grinder looks like a handy way to take a tree down when you don't want it to fall over but not so good a way to clear land. You still have the root systems in the ground. If you get into the dirt it probably dulls up fast like we have with chain saws in the sand here.

I don't even get a 1000 miles on an oil change in the GT. I move it to the Lexus and finish it off.

The only thing stopping me from using it is the 5W-40 rating vs 5W-50 for the Motorcraft oil. I just add the ZDDP additive that you can also get on Amazon. I am hoping that brings the new oil up to the old oil specs. Since it is hot most of the time in Florida the 50 rating makes me feel better.
