The Lloyd mats web page now says "Due to trademark restrictions, we don't have logos available for this vehicle [the 05 06 GT]. Please choose plain mats." I wonder if Ford forced them to stop?

Has Ford made or caused to be made any GT parts since 2005-2006 or are they using up NOS? Judging from the number of obsolete or no longer available parts, it would seem that the latter is the case.

Actually, the often cited 10 year figure for required parts availability is bogus. There is no such federal requirement, the ten years is "customary" and decided by the manufacturer. You can Google it for yourself.

There are really two problems here. The first is what to do if the plastic grommet is broken or breaking. The second is what to do if it's in good condition and not failing - yet. Unfortunately, you can't just wait for it to fail because of the risk involved in being unable to open the clamshell...

That's an interesting idea. However, wouldn't they have to be printed in metal? The plastic 3D items I've seen look like they would have the same overheating problems as the stock vents.
