what would you pay for a 06 gt with 51k miles

Yes. Quite. Red is Right. We've already discussed this one to death - it's faster, more beautiful and yadda yadda yadda. Look, Gierkinky can't be wrong. He's from Boston and his wife said he knows everything.

:lol

Neil, I couldn't agree more and to demonstrate below is a picture of our two red cars side-by-side. In case you can't recall which car is yours my car is the faster one on the left with the smaller pulley!

I think many people took my reply as if I was knocking red cars. I definatly am not knocking the red cars as I am a RED FAN, there are just MANY more red cars than others. If it offended anyone I am sorry. I dont care WHAT color they are, I LOVE ALL FORD GT's

Apology accepted, but not necessary....I have the faster White/Blue Shelby legacy version:banana

The Red, White and Blue bashing is just a thing we seam to do here for entertainment. We also like to pick on folks that don't drive the cars. All in good fun. "Have you driven your GT lately"

I am with you, they are FANTASTIC in any color. :thumbsup

But Red IMO is the best Waxer color of all. :biggrin

That's B-kuz you've never seen a well waxed BLUE one.:slap

(And I refuse to restate my outline of the scientific PROOF that a blue/white is the fastest...'too far over yur heads!:frown :rofl)

I'd have white hair by the time you typed all your proof. :biggrin

Trust me! I DO! (Well, grey anyway...) :thumbsup

you must be talking about my car

55k miles needs new clutch and rear tires, not for sale, i drive it and enjoy it, i love it, unlike the 90% of gt owners who just chat on line about the car..

I do believe 90% of us just got slammed! :eek :lol

cimaxgt -not for sale - says it all.

You've got 10,000 on me. Guess I haven't been drving mine ENOUGH.

If words translated into miles, the "chatters" would be nearing 100,000 miles.

Jeff

do you know how much the Damon Hill's car went for? I think it had something close to 25-27k miles.... we could gauge it vs the other UK GTs and have a better sense of the depreciation by mile....
More like 45k+ miles, 4 clutches and more than one prang.

Mid £80k's I believe it went for.

What's that translate into in greenbacks?

As far as total miles go, I bought this car because it's special, not to haul groceries in or take the kids to Disneyland (not that that would be possible anyway).

Everytime I drive it I feel special because I know the car IS special. I'm not in a pissing contest to see who can wear their's out the fastest but in case I ever do wear it out, I've always got that pretty yellow one for backup!

More power to you high mileage guys since I know you're enjoying the hell out of your cars. You also serve as good guinea pigs for the rest of us on life expectancy of the car.

2005 red/white with 5000 miles and climbing!:thumbsup

Yeah but

No but

Yeah but

I polish mine too - I don't JUST chat about it. I've even put petrol in mine.

I knocked out the slightly slower car in this shot. :biggrin

Cool... So $160k

as per Neil we know

Current UK prices:

1. 2005 Red. 100 miles. $249,900
2. 2006 Red. 2,400 miles. $249,990
3. 2006 Silver. New. $279,990
4. 2006 Red. 1,600 miles. $219,980

New ones in the US are fetching $180k and lightly used ones $160k.

The Damon Hill's one was sold at 35% discount from a new one and 25% discount from a lightly used ones....

So in the US it could be:

65% of $180k-$190k = $120k
or
75% of $160k = $120k

This is not science but it is using the only price point we have for a high mileage (and abused) Ford GT.

Let me know if you do not want it. I would buy it for under 100K.

Cobrar1339 is correct. RED is the best waxer coler. My license plate for my RED gal says it all..."WAXER"

:lol

Not fair, you're giving Empty Pockets ideas for his personalized plate.

Greaser was taken I'd guess. :banana

I bet if you look in the garage GEEZER is on the rear of your GT. (Or just look in the mirror if the garage is too far a walk.)

Or it might be FEWMILES.

Both apply.:biggrin
