"Dude ..... that thing sounds so FN sweet, it hurt my chest."

My car is equipped with Stainless Works long tube headers with Random Tech metal cats (no muffler).

Me and Pardo were leaving Indianapolis last week and getting off the freeway for a sec this hoodrat in an SUV pulls up and says:

"What is that?"
"
It's a Ford GT"
"Is it a Lamborghini?"
"Yeah, it's a Lamborghini Ford GT"

:lol

No it's a mustang! I keep getting letters from Customer Service asking me how I like my new "Mustang" now that it's a year later?????
One person asked me if it was a Pantera! Huh?:bored
Many people have asked if it was a Ferrari or the new mustang.
Of course, I am asked all the time "how much did it cost?" "How much that set ya back?" I either say about as much as a Ferrari or, as of late, I just say $50,000.....:bs
Why the need to ask me how much it costs? I never ask a stranger or even a friend this question!

This past wknd, for the 1st time since I bought mine, I ran into someone - a real nice ol' gent (about 70 yrs old) - who had it right. He came over to our table, asked a few questions about the car, and then declared, " ... about $200K for wunna those lil' numbers, right?"

I just grinned at him & said, "Well, sir, they do cost a bit more than a Buick, I'll give you that." He laughed at that, dropped the inquiry, and, after a few pleasantries, he rejoined the folks at his own table. :thumbsup

Werkz fer me...:biggrin :cheers

I was getting gas the other day and I was asked ..

"So when did Ford buy Ferrari ?":lol

Almost everytime I take my gal for a ride I get someone giving me the thumbs up, someone asking what kind of car it is (and they are usually idling in the next lane while reading the side stipe decal), and someone wanting to race. Personally I like Empty Pockets response about the Buick. It'll be a foever cross we all have to shoulder while we own these sweet little beauties - a small price to pay, I'd say.

Tell them Ford already own Ferrari in 66' 67' 68' & 69'.

My only problem is they wait to ask when you are leaving or you are in a hurry. I had the car parked for an hour and someone rushed the car when I got in to leave. I guess they were making sure I was the owner. DOH!!!

Joe,

since the last trip to Furlong my Dr. has been asking about my hearing loss. About all I can do is smile and shake my head: I can't hear a word she's saying: 'cause I am deaf. You've got the sound!:thumbsup :thumbsup

I did drive through Carlisle today for a bite to eat: good turnout.

Yup. Our lives are sure tough, ain't they. :frown :frown :frown

Last time I was asked, I said it was Ford's new Hybrid and I was just waiting on the Yellow CA stickers. :biggrin

Joe.... got the sister system, is your loud? Mine is whisper quiet:thumbsup

And then there's the guy who say's ..........
" yo, yo, brother ... how much this car is ? "

After a minute a reponded ... "It's not for sale." :lol

Loud as all gitout, maybe too loud. I'm talking with SW about producing some very small muffler inserts that can be slipped into both sides of the H pipe. I just want to get some of the sting out of it. Like the brother said, it hurt his chest.

Can't hear a thing.

Next time, you're not the lead car.

Anything coming up that way?

Last night at a local car show from a middle aged guy-
"Is it real or a kit?"" DDDDUUUUUHHHHH!!!

Speaking of car show comments, a guy (whom I found out owned a silver 911 'also in the show) was looking at the GT and he said it was a really nice looking car, but setting looks aside, he'd rather own a PCGT. I replied, "Why? They aren't any faster and will cost you at least $200K more to boot." To which he replied, "I'm a loyal Porche guy."

Fair enough! 'Can't argue with that! :lol

But, I'll just never understand buying a "badge" even though you like the looks of something else better!
