  1. Appearance - Beautiful
  2. Fit - Quite Good
  3. Weld Quality - Outstanding
  4. Header Coating - First Class
  5. Installation Difficulty - Not for the meek; I did it mostly laying on my back though
  6. Reduction in Weight - At least 70 lb.
  7. Improvement in Center of Gravity - Elimination of the OEM muffler with its massive size, weight and location is a huge improvement. Bye-bye to the OEM cats and exhaust manifolds as well. What a mess of mass!
  8. Reduction in Underhood Heat - Major
  9. Sound - Deep, throaty and loud above 3,000 RPM. Also loud upon start-up.
  10. I believe the system will tone down a bit after a few hundred miles of seasoning. IMO, it's what a GT should sound like.
  11. Performance Improvement - Don't know!
  12. Overall Rating - IMO, the best value and bang for the buck. Certainly too loud for some. Glad I skipped the cat-back options and went right to what for me is the best solution. Special thanks to Shadowman for his wisdom and guidance!

Joe,
I will have the no cat report I promised soon. The car is running. Dyno Monday. So far it sounds very barkey at start up then calms down. We could not get on it yet. I changed to 52lb injectors so it is a little rich. I like what I have herd so far. Kurt

Joe, Shadowman,
Did you guys have any issue with the tips coming out straight. Mine seems a wee bit crosseyed? Thanks Kurt

Kurt:

The tips are designed to be angled toward center - the relatively short length of the H pipe necessitates such design. It takes a while for the eyes to adjust but it grows on you quite quickly.

How long was your wait? It's been 8 weeks for me and no end insight.

Got mine installed yesterday, thank you SHADOWMAN! My detail guy just asked for a ride, smile across both of our faces from ear to ear:lol

Joe, your review is seconded!:banana Had to keep the baby cats for the KALIFOOLNIA smog sniffers...

Sound clips? Shouldn't the TT conversions include a header of at least this quality?

.

I must be missing something, don't you guys, like here in Colorado, have emissons testing. Without the cats, would not pass! Especially you CA guys.

What am I missing?

tnx,

awesome! post up some sound clips.

I am awaiting my full stainless works exhaust (1 7/8" headers, 3" catted x pipe and 3" catback) for my gt500. Should sound similar to yours, although I am going with cats and my exhaust is quite a bit longer.

Several of you now have these headers - did you guys go with the thermal coat product offered by Stainless Works? Does anyone know if it is Jet Hot Coat? Thanks!

tnx,

I am sure the CA GT owners are only using the headers off road and always swap them out when they drive on the public roads. They tend to do this every two years, starting on the 6th year of ownership.

The headers are JetHot or HPC coated, not sure which but a very high quality finish regardless. Downstream components are uncoated.

Several of us, myself include, chose Random Technology catalyst equipped systems.

I can tell you that I followed Mr. Bony for about 150 miles yesterday and it was music to my ears. It is a work of art. :thumbsup
