As some of you know, in addition to my collecting, I do some "horse-trading" of cars too, mostly brokering Ferraris. I was speaking with a Lamborghini Dealer (Champion) in Long Island this weekend and again today trying to close a deal on a Lambo and the conversation turned to Ford GT's. He desperately wants to buy my 2005 white/blue striped car, as they are trying to get their hands on as many FGT's as possible to build up their inventory (they can't get any more new Lambos). He said that the used 05's are capturing around $158,00 consistently, and based on what they see at Manheim and other auctions and transactions, the prices will only go up. Todd from the Forum called me today to say hello, and I shared that piece of info with him. He thought that others on the forum would be interested in this tidbit. If any of you want to sell your FGT (not that I suggest you sell) you may want to call Michael Sender at Champion Motors (Long Island Bentley and Lamborghini) in Long Island, NY. They want your car! However, if you are smart, you may just want to hang on to that car for while, it may very well be worth something. By the way, another Lambo dealer I spoke with in Vegas today also agrees with that prognostication.

Hi Tim,

Is 158 for the 2005 models what your dealer friend is selling them for consistently?

The act of prognosticating is rarely mentioned here.

Nice work! :biggrin

Yes, He told me that they are getting $158 average for the 2005 cars. (Incidently, I paid a wholesale price less than that a year and a half ago for a brand new car! So that news made me happy!)
