Us old Marines are less than heartened by what is going on with the Democrats "Slow bleed" strategy to cripple our efforts in this war. Let them heap scorn upon the best of America's youth when they see what the U.S. Army Rangers are up to now! God Bless America! Semper Fi.

thanks CHIP!

That is really neat. God bless our troops, past, present, and future.

Great story...

We have something similar in the UK call the Starlight Foundation: http://www.starlight.org.uk

I remember a few years ago that the British Army made a wish come true (via Starlight) for a youngster who was ill - they drove a tank to his house and took him for a drive to a chinook helicopter where he went flying off to the base. Sadly, and as expected, he passed away not long afterwards. The Army decided to give him a full military funeral - they were so moved by his death.....

God bless all our boys in conflicts far from home...

Nothing sadder than when the truly innocent become ill. God knows we need a bunch more like him to continue to grow up and help steer this country.

Awesome read. Thanks Chip.

Chip,

Don't worry. Us young Marines are still carrying the flag and focused on the task at hand.

"It should have been me."

Waldo,
It pains me to think of the news portrayals of both your efforts and of their portrayal of America's view of this struggle that is fed back our servicemen on TV. Our major press and news organizations are 95% hard core left wing liberal and long ago abandoned objective reporting to press their objectives from the front page to the weather page. If it doesn't fit their antiwar agenda, they'll make it fit, truth be damned. I don't think it's possible for you and your fellow servicemen to fully appreciate the admiration, love, respect, and gratitude that most Americans have for you, and your mission. God bless you. If you're ever in Scottsdale and want to fly some aerobatics in something other than that Harrier, PM me. My Glasair III is at your disposal and I'd be honored to let you fly it. DBK & Camilo loved it.:ack

All the best,
Chip

A great read and what a wonderful little kid. Thank you all of you service men and women!

Chip,

Thanks for the offer. I would love to take you up on it when I get home later this year. Your Glasair III is a beautiful plane.

I can't offer you a ride in a Harrier, but If you ever find yourself in Yuma, I would be happy to let you try the simulator and give you a tour of the flightline.

Best Regards,
Waldo

Greetings,
That is a great auction items for charity fund raising. Bid on one at the HANFORD ROTARY, at LEMORE NAS,..but it went into silly money. It included a flight suit, but for some reason I doubted that the NAVY stocked BONY size.
Jason, be safe and thank your mates.
GOD BLESS AMERICA AND THOSE THAT LOVE HER.

Waldo,

In 1998 and 1999 I performed in the MCAS Yuma Airshow. Stayed on the base and had a great time. I got an invite to fly in a 2 seat F-5 but was tied up when it was offered. I did fly the T-38 however. When you're in Yuma give me a call at 602-430-4877 and I'll fly down, you can fly the G3 and dinner is on me. See you then.
