Dr Frank is correct. My wife retired 5 years ago as the Chief Nurse at the Fresno V.A. She has her doctorate in nursing. Today to be a unit manager the minimum education is an MSN. Great opportunities but require a lot of education, RN's without a BSN are at the ground floor and just a notch above
CNA's.
