Just got my new 28' Haulmark. :banana Trailer has a 16" flap to aid in loading. Vipers are too low so I'm sure my GT will be also. :frown Can anyone with Trailer Ramps post pics and where to purchase them. Thanks in advance!!:cheers

I could post a picture of the two 5' lengthts of 2X12's that I used, but it would be a waste of bandwidth. :wink

Look for the Buffalo Ramps. These extend another 6 - 8' and can be placed where every you want. Ads usually appear in the back of SCCA Magazine or Grassroots Motorsports Mag.

I'll do that! Thanks Frank.

Load issues.

I have a HM-20 no problem with laoding. I spent a tremendous amount of time calculating the rise and trailer clearance. PM me or call and we'll talk of line, too much info to type. Bottom line, elevate the front to change entry angle. Also, with a rear entry height of 12", you have a 6' door and beavertail which gives you a rise of minimum 2" per foot, (12" high divided by 72" ramp is a 2" rise per foot. As the GT has 5" clearance at the front spoiler and 24" distance between the front tire and the spoiler this gives you 1" to spare for clearance.

trailer ramps

I just loaded my new GT and found the same problem. I think im going to order THESE ramps; they are 249. but very light weight and look to be the perfect sollution.... check out this link:

Looks doable.

While I would prefer wider extensions those look to be a good solution. For ease of use and setup I would consider folding over the 16" extension on top of the ramp, fasten it to the ramp extension so it can be folded over on top of the primary ramp just like the flap which would take care of storage, and they woudl always be in the right position.
The biggest issue I found with my trailer was the distance between the trailer wheel wells, rashed my right front.:ack I have a side escape door and have built rampovers to allow maximum inside clearance. Note that rampovers increase the angle of entry and add to the issue of front clearance. I still find elevating the front of the trailer during loading and unloading the easiest remedy to angle and clearance problems.

I use these ramps on several trailers, they work great, fold back against the door and are easy to secure.

I saw these at SEMA, and I see they also won a new product award at the 2006 SEMA show.

These still look to steep for any of my cars.

I need long gradual ramps. I saw a set which were almost 6' long and flipped over on the end of the ramp which was perfect.

Right now I lift the front of my Haulmark as high as I can, flip down the ramp and flip over another 4' reinforced ramp and then add boards (2 x 12 x 6' long) which are angled on the approach end because I do not have the clearance to drive onto a flat board :frown

It sucks.

My vipers are all slammed, as will my GT in a couple of weeks so I am also trying to find a better solution

My trailer had a fold out dragster ramp that folded out another 6' or so the whole width of the door once the door was open. It worked on my Viper Comp Coupe and it was way low.
