Anybody out there have a pair they're willing to part with? Or have a link where I can buy some, new? A cursory search didn't reveal any.

A google search of "sparco seat belts" comes up with several red options.

Uh… thanks. I assumed since I posted this under the 2017+ Ford GT subforum, it would be clear that I am seeking a set of the factory Sparco/Ford Performance 6-pt race harnesses, which I included a photo of.

If I recall when I got all of the NGT specific stuff (helmet, bag, suit, etc etc), I called / emailed Sparco. It was never available on line to "click and buy". Point is, I would call them. I also remember that the contact that I had, has left Sparco, so I can't steer you to a specific person.

Thank you! Yes, I visited their website too, before posting. I will call them tomorrow.

Good luck, hopefully they can still make em for you. BTW you may know this, but belts are dated, for use in competition. So if they have any on the "shelf" they might be expired, or soon(ish) to be, where maybe they would not sell them, even though you might not be concerned about this. You will hopefully learn more tomorrow.

I dealt with Billy Deakins [email protected], he split time between SoCal and North Carolina, don't know if he is still them, worth a try.

Thank you for the lead; will reach out to him!

If and when you find them, be careful installing the passenger side belt. Do not disconnect the wire running to the passenger seat cushion for the airbag light. If you do, you will have to take the car into Ford to have it reset. You cannot do it yourself.

Roger that. Thanks Frank.

I bought a Sparco belts .. scrapped them..lol... The lap belts bolt in and have to stay in the ca..r not easy to take them in and out and not a good place to store them.. Wasn't that crazy about the leg loop sub belt design either .Sabelt came up with a better system for us ..they probably make red.. There's a post somewhere..

Ok Brian, I’ll dig that up and check into that option too. Appreciate your insight.

Big Inch, Indy and I were at the PRI show in Indy 8 years ago and we sat down with SABelt and came up with a whole kit of belts and mounts for the GT at a very reasonable price; however, by the time it came to order from them, the guy who set us up was gone and despite repeated attempts to order, they just couldn't get it together. StormCat was gracious enough to run his car down there and work on this project, but SABelt dropped the ball.

On the other side of the coin, SABelt gave me the idea to source out some hardware from Schroth and make the lap belts easily removable. I have to find the pics and I will post them here once I find them. The Ford Racing center sub belt attaches in an F1 racing style and is folded over on itself several times and is held in place by 2 plates with two nuts on each one. You can see what I mean by removing the drives side seat cushion. You will then see the mounts you paid extra for built into the floor. I only did the driver's side, but I was told by another member to watch the wire on the passenger side for the airbag attachment because if you disconnect it, only Ford can reset it.

Since you have a carbon series (from the pic), you will not have to fight with removing the little glovebox under the front driver's side.

Another hint: Since you are a physician, the Ford Sparco belts are marked as "S" and "D" on the box which I take to mean sinister and dexter.

Fantastic info. Very helpful and very much appreciated.
