New headlights for 2005/6MY Ford GT

Pre-ordered a set, hopefully it happens. If you want $500 off, you need to pay in full up front vs the $150 deposit.

They told me they would honor the quote when the balance is paid, just present the 6 digit quote # at that time

Good to know.
Thanks

A replacement set of "reserve headlights" would ease my mind if I tried to clean mine up (or ship them off for professional detailing).
My thoughts exactly

I have an email from them that says the same thing. $500 off when the balance is due and only $149 right now to hold my spot the production line...DONE!

With the design work already complete hopefully that 100 figure is an "aim high then settle" type number ie maybe they'll move forward at 50 ... or 25 ... or say, 10 🤪

😁

Can they proceed with 50-set deposits for say 8k per set? Still a lot but it can be easier achieved than 100-set deposits.

Just checked TLG's website. Noticed they have headlights for a few Ferrari models (360, 430, 550, 575). Don't recall hearing about them on the FerrariChat 456/550/575 forum for as long as I've been on it over 10 years. So that raised a couple of questions in my mind. Where did they get the preproduction deposits for these 4 models as I see no mention or post by or about them on FerrarChat? While original headlights for these models are NLA, they are relatively plentiful and could be bought at reasonable prices that are below TLG's. The other question is if they are selling a set of F430, 360, 550, 575 headlights for $9k how and why would they be selling a set of FGT headlights for $6k? Finally, the renderings they have of the 550 headlights are just a copy of 575s not the 550 headlights.

Good research, I too was surprised to see them pop-up in my routine search for headlights. I am cautiously optimistic/hopeful.

Says he has a gt...

So I’m curious …… my headlights are fine but the lenses have acquired a cloudy , swirly residue on the inside. Has anyone figured out how to successfully RnR the lenses without damaging the headlight assembly?
I am seeing this on some other GTs in Canada and have been told it may be due to the full time DRL situation.
Thanks in advance………
When I imported my car into Canada, I had the DRL's turned on via software to pass the "out of country" and "out of province" inspections. Once I passed both inspections, and registered the car, I had the DRL's turned off. I figured I didn't want to deal with any issues that might arise due to the lights staying on all the time.

A while back I talked with a headlight restoration specialist. Can't remember his name now, but I recall him telling me that the clear anti-fogging coating on the inside surface of headlight lenses is very fragile and he avoids touching it in restoration. If it needs cleaning he only uses low pressure deionized water and air dries it without wiping. If that layer is damaged it is not possible to reapply the anti-fog layer correctly without specialized and expensive processes and euipment. So the headlight will continue fogging. Even if one can manufacture replacement lense along what @2112 has been doing, application and protection of the anti-fogging layer on the inside should be factored into that until the lens is installed and sealed.

I haven’t had anything made yet. I can tell you that the OEM antifog coating on my Z8 headlights was a disaster.

Hello everyone! Since there has been some recent discussion on these new headlights we are trying to offer, we figured we would make an account and hop on this post. Happy to answer any questions about this new headlight offering.

For transparency, we aim to offer upgraded lighting for our dream cars and are working with a manufacture who is also an enthusiast themselves in an attempt to preserve and tastefully upgrade the cars we love.

It would be great if you could scroll up and answer some of the questions posed by some of the Forum members that have not already been answered.

At this time, unfortunately no. The manufacturer is requesting 100 pre-orders to justify tooling costs. Headlights in particular are very expensive to produce properly and we definitely do not want to get this wrong on the manufacturing side of things. We will inquire though to see if can be an option with higher retail price and few pre-order sets.

You most likely haven't seen anything on Ferrari Chat because we have only started advertising a few months ago. Everything, with exception of the Ferrari 360 and F430 headlights, are currently in development. The reason for our prices are mainly for the quality of components within (either bi-LED or upgraded bi-xenon projectors) and the real carbon fiber inlay on most headlight assemblies. Our 550/575 headlight offering is $4500 a pair, but we do not want to cloud this forum with non-GT-specific details.

Sure thing.

The biggest detail is the exact fitment housing, with the same look and fit as the original, but with upgraded optics and enhanced internal aesthetics with the 1x1 weave carbon fiber inlay.
