What an incredible run were on fellas. Old Chinese proverb says 'may you live in interesting times'.
Dave what a spectacular car. Huge congratulations.
Well the cat out of the bag. Or numerous visits by phone over the last few weeks and even yesterday saddened my heart when you told me it wouldn't be there until you got back from LeMans and now its there in all it's BEAUTY and Splendor. Perfect Vin# for the perfect person Buddy. Now you can enjoy LeMans with friends, knowing that your baby is safe and sound at home. The wait has been hell for early built GT's but will be quickly forgotten by all of us involved when the most exciting vehicle ever produced becomes a big part of our lives and our GT family. We are truly blessed and we all know that and are Very humbled and proud. Now on with a very interesting new chapters in life giving special rides to others and building Ford GT allegiances. I'm very happy for you Dave as I know my day is coming up soon!
Wow, wow and wow. Great choices Dave. Can't wait to see it in Salt Lake along with all the other wonderful color combinations. Maybe I can pretend I'm that little boy again and you'll take me for a ride in your beauty.
What a journey. Thank you for articulating the pride and appreciation we have for Ford and the Phoenix/GT program. Your build spec is off the hook. Totally agree there are no bad choices when it comes to the GT but your build represents you in many ways and that is so cool. Can't wait to see it in the flesh.
Amusing:
Dave ordered his car painted in the traditional blue of the French racing cars, and I will order mine painted in the traditional white / blue strips of American racing cars.
If that is not Franco-American friendship!
Great write up. Great color (yours and Andy's are my favorite to date). Great car. My favorite part is you giving the teenager a ride - you made his life. P.S. reading your post in Paris, counting down the days to Le Mans. Did I say congratulations?
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
I was out on Woodward this AM heading to the Ford HQ event. Dave is still driving and has been all night. I think he passed Nicks break in miles in one day. Its a record.
