Car cover recommendations

I'm sure this has been covered elsewhere in the forum but I can't find it with the search function.

Can anyone recommend a high quality indoor car cover (primarily to keep dust off the car)? I would like something that is custom fit. I have been using an old painter's tarp with the brass grommets but they are scratching the car (just kidding).

California Car Cover = they have custom covers available for all their different
materials.
 
I bought the California Car Cover in the Plushweave material that is guaranteed not to scratch. As a cotton grower I prefer 100% cotton material. The lining is a very soft cotton flannel material. This thing fits like a glove. I ain't got no problemos with mine. Very happy with it. Support you local cotton growers, we appreciate it. :usa

I would like to bring this matter to a positive conclusion without further delay. I purchased a car cover from your company because the word on the Ford GT Forum was they fit well and were of high quality. As evidenced by the photos I sent on Oct. 30, the fit left quite a lot to be desired. I returned the cover as instructed and that's where things got stalled - my car has been sitting without a cover for over five weeks. I have been patiently awaiting a sample of the Cal. Customweave for a few weeks, but to no avail. I have lingering concerns about how any cover your company supplies might fit.

With that said, I need to get a quality car cover that fits perfectly without further delay. If your company cannot supply a quality cover that actually fits, then please refund my money so I can purchase a cover elsewhere. Please respond today so that I can plan accordingly.

The photo shows the poor fit represented by the extra fabric over both rear fenders.

I got a tan flannel cover from Covercraft. Thick, thick cotton with plush, fluffy inner nappy side. Fit was perfect with no hang on floor, snug mirrors, and good snug fit (not tight) at front an rear. Fits in a beach bag rolled up.

I store in a closed garage with little traffic/dust and wanted an all natural cover ( no synthetic weaves; Kimblerly Clark, Noah, Technalon: over 10 yrs they trap dust and become more brittle/hard)

Do a google on tan flannel covercrafts. About $200, w/ship.

Your cover does not look that bad. 2 Inches off floor, Your fenders are clearly outlined and the extra tufting at back will prevent abrading of paint. No joke: a rich collector sued Kimberly Clark for this. He had microscopic analysis and paint fleck spectrometry done. Google it.

Your floor worries me more; crack and moisture coming up from that floor are a bigger risk.

Get a U-coat it kit ($300) and that floor will look like a commercial grade showroom floor (with crack filler too)

I see what you mean Joe. Mine does fit much better than the one you got. Looks like somebody screwed up at the factory.:eek
 
car cover

Guys, I always put a piece of plastic just on the top side of my classic car covers and let the dust settle on it instead of the fabric. Since the car is inside out of the elements ,the plastic is placed just on the top and not covering the sides. This lets plenty of ventilation underneath and is easy to get on and off without the dust working its way into the fabric. This sure beats takeing the cover outside along with another set of hands and shacking the daylights out of the cover to get the dust out.

mine sure fits better than yours, I agree with you, a poor fit.

Can you post a few photos to show the fit. I've not had good luck with CCC. Wouldn't be any different with Covercraft since they make the covers for CCC.
 
I have the CCC and mine fits the car like a comfortable glove. Definately something wrong with the fit in the cover shown in your picture? PD:confused :confused

Joe, I've been out of town a few days. I will try to post some pics soon. I haven't had much luck posting pics on this forum but I will give it another shot. TI
