I have way too much memorabilia, and especially too much that I don't actually utilize in any way. That said, I just won a piece of memorabilia that I had to have. I almost can't believe it was available. It was available as part of an auction to benefit a charity called Lemons of Love.

This suit was worn by Joey Hand during his winning runs at both the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2016 and the Rolex 24 at Daytona in 2017.

I can't believe I now own this.

Whoa. Great score.

Hey, Mr. Deep Pockets, I was the guy bidding against you. :lol

In any event, it was for a good cause.

Seriously? :lol

Yep! Can send you the bid analysis. I LET you win that auction, the least you can do is let me have it 1/2 the time.

Wow, that is really nice, what a score. Congratulations!

Wow, that's really cool. Are you displaying it in your garage mahal ?.

Yes, he will display. He needs a dummy for a model. Any suggestions?

Great piece and going to the appropriate place

Good thing I didnt know about it before hand. Well done!! Great piece to have.

How did you find out about this? I'd like to have had the opportunity to bid against you as well!

Honestly, I was trying to figure out where the hell I saw it in the first place but I can't remember. I think it was on a Twitter or Instagram feed of some kind, or maybe the IMSA e-mail newsletter. I follow all the drivers and the sanctioning bodies, so it probably came from one of those. Usually IMSA does stuff with the Austin Hatcher Foundation, so they frequently will have driver and team memorabilia available when they do benefits.

I would assume that the driver changes suits at least once or twice in a 24 hour race so maybe there''ll be another. Shesgotlegs bought a pair of gloves Joey Hand wore during Le Mans at an auction at Watkins Glen (or maybe it was Mosport) last year when we were there. Joey himself auctioned them in front of the truck. :lol

Dang... great win Dave. I have been trying to score one of the drivers suits for my collection in my Ga RAJ Mahal but have not found one yet. I'd even settle for one of the suits the pit crew wear.

What a score Dave. The fact that he wore it in both races makes it extra-collectable.

Lucky dog

Can you fit in it?

Great Score !!

Wow. What an awesome piece of history!

Congrats!

Score to the max.

Also, lets just say I'm skeptical of Joey's listed 5'10 165 :lol

So are you saying it is too big on you?
