From the UltimateCarPage:

"Today, the first 2016 specification Formula 1 cars have been revealed. Grabbing the most attention was the Ferrari SF16-H, which represents a considerable departure from its predecessor. The aerodynamics have been comprehensively revised and a switch has been made from a pull-rod to push-rod front end. The most obvious difference is the all-white air-box, most famously used on the 1975 World Championship winning Ferrari 312 T."

Haas, Merc, Redbull, etc I think everyone has taken the wraps off their cars for 2016.

That front wing is beyond crazy!

Couple years ago I sold a carb part to the chief aerodynamicist for their F1 team.
He has a 427 Cobra. Real one.

The subtle differences are amazing! Who is right, and who is wrong?

Imagine the design and testing costs associated with those front wings? And, I'm sure they all think they've got it right. Going to be some disappointed and scrambling folks before too long.

Do you think if they bounce through the grass and destroy a wing that they take the replacement cost out of the driver's salary? Not that they couldn't afford it, but even they would probably consider that a bad day. ( ok, not Lewis. )

I would like to see the mechanics of how they support the mass at the ends of the outside wings with what little flexing there is from the center.

I can't think of a "thing" that has the looks of this round of F1 cars. They simply look sinister.

you know that the likelihood in this space is that they are all right. Just different solutions to the same problem with the differences being second or more likely third order effects.

On the other hand the front ends all look extremely fragile, and the chances of a car getting bumped and continuing seem like nearly nil.

not cheap either, something like 2000 man hours to build

Oh, I forgot to mention that white makes it the fastest color. :)

More front wings
