I couldn't agree more. No matter what is going on, after one hour everything is put into perspective...

Driving unlimited on the A81 north of Heilbronn will do that for you! :-)

I agree!

Agreed for sure. Now imagine what it would be in the new GT. Nirvana.

"The car functions as an escape vehicle, for many people, especially young men.........."

Received my "Learner's Permit" in the summer of 1967, it is nice to know that there is the consideration of being "young" today. Know it is just a state of mind, but one that has been really with me since 1970 when the '62 Vette became a permanent fixture in my life. Now with the other sports cars and the exotics in the collection, every drive is relished as an escape vehicle and on return, another vehicle will call to me. Loving this life and forever young!

If Autobahn I prefer A5 from Darmstadt to Frankfurt and back, straight and mostly 4-way. Need to check the mentioned part of A81.

If you take the right route their is a nice 15 minute back road with farms and trees etc going from the new Kalihari resort to Pocono Raceway.
And then you can hit the track.

Drove mine to work today again, in Michigan. Since no salt on the roads. Crazy weather. Gonna be 55 here next week.

I started mine up today but didn't take it outside due to rain.
Maybe tomorrow. Crazy weather!

Thanks for the "local input", I tend to get on 67 as I head south of Frankfurt (headed to Kuenzelsau). I'll start looking at A5!

While not a factor when we retired in the Ozarks, the roads here are a definite plus, twisty, hilly and endless. The motorcyclists have even put together maps of the roads in our area of SW MO and NW AR showing the "level" of fun to drive them.
