TWO airbag recalls in one letter.

You wanna know the truth? You can't handle the truth....

You're probably right!

Second recall letter.. This one for the GT and the 12 Boss.. Driver's side... Maybe they think only one person rides in these two seaters.
Probably time to check to see who the vendor was for the passenger side on both.

Well, Got my recall 15S21 on my 06 GT #1142 today on drivers side air bag inflator housing. Will notify you when parts are available and when inflator can be replaced. Looks like all GT's will be recalled?

Sure sounds that way.

PITA on the one hand, maybe lifesaver on the other.

That's recalls, thanks much for the update!

Just received another letter on the air bag recall. I had mine replaced about 2 months ago. This is to have it replaced again . But the interesting part is it also recalls the driver air bag on my 2011 ShelbyGT 500 Mustang.
So - 2 vehicles in same letter, both driver side only, when parts become available.

I too am now an official member of the two recall letter club, the FGT and GT500.

+1.

Hey the bright side, Cobrar and I have a mutual friend, who's letter has 7....

Are you sure it's only 7? My '13 Boss indicates 2. I've lost track of his inventory of '12-'14 Mustangs, but I think it's 6. So he's at 12, at least.

My letter lists four of my cars.

Via e-mail today he said 7. But I think thats actual cars, vs actuators.

As Ive mentioned before, too bad cant fix the problem by removing them and being done.

Anyone had the passenger side recalled?

I just had my driver's air bag inflator replaced 2 months ago but got another recall letter for the same air bag inflator yesterday?

Yes. The letter essentially says "We are very sorry but you will have to replace it again. you see the first recall unit can fail in the same way the original one did but you have some time to worry about it. We will let you know when we have a final solution."

So really, the two recalls are separate and cumulative. You should do the second one when the parts become available. There is no time frame.

I think a few folks with Ford GTs have had both sides, and I've heard a few other Mustangs that have had it, but the passenger side inflator is not the same part.
