Prototype on the streets

Think of this: the new car is noticeably lower, wider and longer than the 05/06.

Will it fit through a standard 8' wide single garage door?

I had a dream after I bought mine (06) that it wouldn't fit and got up in the middle of the night to measure.

That is awesome. Thanks for keeping us in the loop Dave!

Yeah, if this thing is even an inch wider, driving through your typical 8' wide garage door may be a leeeetle stressful.

Of course it will. He said it was wide, but it's not that wide.

My 06 fit with about 4" total to spare. My GT will not fit in the single bay at my Vegas house with the stucco "trims". The way some doors get trimmed out (I built my CO house so it was slightly wider) could make for some no-fits.

I'd love to see a picture of it standing next to an 05/06.

The lights appear to be different than the show car

sweet !!

Around 42". Subject to change.

It's supposed to have an adjustable ride height, correct? If so, is it possible that it will have an ultra low (not street legal) track height setting similar to the P1?
Truly an incredible machine. can't wait to see it in person at ground level.

Didn't I read somewhere that its 2" wider, 2" longer, and 1" lower than the 05/06?

Pulling that in a trailer is going to be fun.
Pulling that out,...Holy Cow!, ....if it isn't in there 100% straight on the geometry I can just hear the swearing now.

According to the TG article it's 4.7" inches longer, 1" lower and 2" wider. I think they may be slightly off on a couple of those.

Gonna need a trailer with a raised platform to avoid worrying about fender well proximity.

Even on the 05/06,..the geometry needs to be near perfect on the ingress or the egress is something I don't want to even contemplate.

2" wider would technically fit. As a practical matter, it would require a level of precision approaching perfection. Unless some of those 3,000 sensors and 10,000,000 lines of code make it self-guiding.

We're all going to get to drive one at Rally 10, right? :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

I'd settle for a ride in the passenger seat around the track with Mark McGowan.
